What the Funk?

I saw where George Clinton is suing his former partner for the rights to his songs.

He is doing a show in Tally this month with his old band. The pre P Funk guys. I heard the name on the radio, but can't find it now.

That show in Tallahassee sounds awesome, wish I was closer! Yeah he's suing for $100 million dollars, needles to say I hope he wins.

Armen Boladian stole a huge amount of material from George and in 2001 filed hundreds of lawsuits against musicians who sampled Clinton’s songs while not adding Clinton as a plaintiff, therefore not sharing any of the millions he received with Clinton.

According to Danny Bedrosian(current P-Funk keyboardist) there is three times more unreleased material still in the vaults than what has been released to the public now, and there is a monumental amount of material already out so that has to be a huge amount of music. There were around fifty members in the band, that's a lot of creative power. Danny says George works 26 hours a day, I really really look forward to more unreleased stuff to come out someday hopefully.

The Family series 1-5 released in the nineties was a small taste of some of that material. There are some gems in there.
