What would you do?

Well folks, I am in a pickle;I have a family that comes before all to me. I know have an opportunity to get a job paying around 80,000 a year which in my neck of the woods is enough to live like a king. However, this place gives often random drug tests. Piss tests. They just show up and say everybody come piss, now. I just started smoking again after a seven year hiatus. I missed it bad, and love it more now than ever. It's one of my greatest joys. It's a true medicine for me. Heres the situation:My wife doesn't smoke really, and said she could stop completly if I needed to use her piss. I have read that drug tests do not check for male/female, that that is somehow illegal. But I have also read that human urine begins to break down after 4 hours. What I'm looking for is first hand experience from any of you that have to deal with randome piss tests. I've been looking at the whizzinator, and some sythetics and stuff. Also I am clean right now, so I could save up some urine if I could find a way to take it with me and make it last.I really don't want to have to quit again after just finding my bud after all this time. But the money is too good to pass up. What would you do?

Do the right thing ! For yourself & for your family. Another opportunity like this one may never knock at your door again & to pass it over, the wealth, the security, and the opportunity it "will" afford you in the future is not worth a few hours an evening of feeling high from some thing that could soon enuff, become socially acceptable & legall any ways. This is what I would do any ways.

I'd take the job over the weed, family comes first because its them that will be looking after you when you need, more so than the bud.

yea i'd take the job as well.. and after your in good with them you can start again

yea you should quit smoking for now and start working there, you may find out that they never test but just make you think that, once you gain inteligence on the operations at your new job you can begin to ponder if you can get away with smoking, but before that you should not take a chance. also once you gain expiriance you may be able to move to a new company with just as good pay who may not test.

greed or pot? i'd take a slightly lower paying job and stay high. but that's just me. money doesn't buy my happiness. if i could happily support my family on a lower paying job then i'd enjoy the best of both worlds. once again, that's just me.

I don't know of any drug test that looks for thc they only look for the hard stuff.I know a lot of guys that toke day of piss test and pass.

Go legal with the Doctor, get the job, work highhhh

Dont sell out the spirituality of the weed and the fact that one experience if you are lucky or enlightened is worth more than all of the gold in the world

Having said all that i am a very spiritual person and the place weed takes me to is very important to me.
You have to decide what is important to you if you smoke just to chill out then take the job and quit the weed,if you smoke for the spiritual and cerebral factors then give it some more serious thought.

Well thanks for the support guys, I've decided to do just that; I will remain smoke free for as long as it takes. Maybe I can figure out a safe way later to smoke and if so believe me I will. I thought all drug tests check for thc and marijuana? Someone on here said that they didn't think drug tests checked for thc, whats is the general opinion on this? Fdd, if I could find a job paying half that where I could toke, I probably would, but I live in an area where as a college graduate, my degree means nothing. It's either this kind of job, or keep working retail for twelve bucks an hour and watch my wife look at clothes and only dream of being able to buy them, and keep worrying every month about whether or not I will have enough gas to get to work. Even though I am very frugal, I just don't make enough to give us enough money to even allow us to go out and eat or got o the movies each week. Once a month is about the most our budget can handle. Half the time when I am at work, I don't even have enough money for a soda. It's been this way for the five years I have been married, first while I was in college, and my wife stoicly suffered with me thinking that one I graduated our lives would change. That hasn't happened, and it doesn't look as though it will unless I take an oppurtunity like this. Believe me, I love cannabis and would love to have the freedom like they do in Alaska to grow twenty plants and have an ounce at home for personal use and be perfectly legal, but thats not where I live, and I won't move us all away so i can smoke my beloved herb. It wouldn't be fair I think. Life is about sacrifice sometimes, so until I can get my book published, or pay all my bills off and put some money in the bank to invest, it's time for me to get tough and get strong while I am still young enough to do it. It could lead me to a position of power where I wouldn't be tested at all, who knows? But, I feel that that is what seperates those of us who enjoy cannabis from the users of synthestic drugs; we can quit if it means doing the right thing by our family and life. I guess what sucks the most is that my harvest is just about ready, and I don't know how long it will be before I can enjoy it. But you can believe I'm still giong to harvest it and maybe a bright side is I can give it all the time it needs to cure to be the best it could possibly be.Much love and thnks to all of us persecuted "lunchers" who believe int he power of thought. Now this is something that pisses me off, how come something that alters your thought so much and degrades your brain power be ok, but weed no.

I think they should ban beer and cigarettes if weed is to remain illegal, how can the other two which are proven killers and beer is a 100% proven to start more fights than anything other than religion.

Don't get me wrong I like a beer and I smoke 20 a day, I'm just saying how crazy it is.

I have passed a drugs test even after a heavy session two days before,something to do with cranberry juice dont know why, just mopped my blood up a bit,doctors advice he's 60 and likes valium

Would they be that keen on testing someone for smoking a bit of puff? Can't you just say "yeah I smoke a few spliffs on the weekend, no worries!"

Most pee test will check for THC, in fact it is the most sensitive to urine tests.

Pee tests fuckin suck... I remember when you could go get a job without having to piss in a cup for the employer. This country is really getting fucked up on privacy issues. Now the pee testing is a major industry and you can thank the insurance companies.

The sad part is that hard drugs clean out of of your system in a few days, but weed can be detected up to 4-6 weeks in heavy users. Meanwhile alcohol is legal and probably is responsible for the majority of missed time and workplace accidents.

Now if you only take an occasional puff, you can beat the pee test by washing your system out with lots of water if you know in advance. They say to take some aspirin and vitamin B as well (it will add color to your urine so they will be less likely to suspect dilution.)

There is a lot of information on the internet, just google "how to pass a pee test", but don't fall for the products that claim they will give you a negative, all of them are based on the fact that they tell you drink lots of water.

If I were you I would take that job, stay clean for a while and observe their testing pattern. Chances are you will still be able to puff a couple hits a month and not have to worry about it.

By the way, I grew up in Alaska, the feds will bust you there same as anywhere else, but the state law is more lax. Used to be 4 ounces in your home was legal, then the Republicans up there started fucking everything up.

I have passed a pee test one day after smoking a big doobie, the thing is I was clean for most of the months before that and I flushed my system. Also, never give them the first pee of the day, it will have the most chance of detection.

If you drink a lot of water, the worst thing the can do is probably make you retest if your urine is too dilute, at least that gives you a little more time.

Lastly, you can test yourself at home for THC by ordering the kits online from a lot of sources, just get the one for THC... they are very cheap. I just ordered 3 of them for around $5 with shipping since I am in the job market and nowadays almost EVERY fuckin employer wants you to pee in a cup before they hire you.

they would have to specifically look for marijauna,ive been tested for everything back in the day,ive used a girls piss and dont worry they can not tell,lol...there probly gonna test for meth,opiate's or coke,marijauns is a whole diffrent test,i even used piss that was 2weeks old,yeah it sounds gross but when ther's something important on the line you'll do what u gotta do,atleast i will...!the only prob is that u cant just leave the piss in your car all the time,it has to stat refrigerated and when its random u better hope u have enough time to go get it,unless you keep it in some kind of cooler...Its hard to quit anything and since you have a major thing on the line i hope you take the right precautions to keep this job and smoke too,i like the way fdd put it,money doesnt buy happieness but it helps,lol...goodluck with your dilema....ras

yeah bro i have been facing the same dilemma. needless to say i took the job 3 years ago and basically quit smoking. it is a very good job for the area i live in. but i have been hating the job and not smoking every day. i also smoked herb every day for years, so when i quit i needed a buzz somehow. so i became addicted to pain killers. the pain killers are ten times worse than weed. i am now on a program to stay off opiates. in hindsight i would have liked to have kept my job paying 3 times less and still smoking but being happy. i also agree with doing what you have to do for your family. i hope everything works out great for you. herb is great and not a drug.

The thing is, they check the temperature these days... so it would have to be warm piss also.
