mate, softball is amazing, i don't understand the poi nt in a game where you can't miss the ball, but it's still great fun :)

I used to play on a team with a large company I worked for years ago. I was about 33 or so....and most of the other guys were in their 20's. The first time I came to bat...they all chided "the old man"...:lol: unil I knocked that sucker into the next field.... then it was ... GET BACK!!!! It's Cracker!!! Then I would bloop it into the short outfield :lol: kept them guessing.

You'll do fine Estes.... just relax and limber up well before you get in the box. You can usually spot the "timid" defense player... and concentrate on him... poor bastard.

hahaha yea I hope. I used to be good at baseball back in the day but now in my mid 30's I may not have quite the wind I had then. I bought a brand new uniform with Nike cleats so I'm going to look like the man when I get to the field but it will make it that much worse if I don't produce.lol.

Good protein if i am out in the back of my property i always take a few hard boiled eggs with me. they don't get dirty and easy to eat.

i'm right handed, but due to a rather drawn out break of my right wrist, i had to learn to do everything left handed, and man oh man, a year later when playing softball, i swapped from right to left handed. confused the FUCK out of the other team, who laughed a little bit too much as i fecking clobbered the ball into the woods. i'd never hit a ball that hard before. i guess it's because most of the swing was coming from the exertion of the right arm.

as said, it's meant to be fun, unless you're playing with musicians....

Yes, I should have said... it is MEANT to be fun. I started out a leftie, and when i was about 9 or so, my dad worked with me to turn me into a rightie.... don't ask me why. Now I write with my left and eat leftie too, but I am right hand dominant and play all sports rightie...

haha, i've eaten elftie all my life, fork goes in your strong hand! if knife needs to be in strong hand you didn't cook it right! fork goes in strong hand so you can sprear as much food as will possibly compress onto your fork! :lol: look at me bring that vaguely back onto topic

Dude we played 2 innings in the pouring rain. I was in left field and was running for a pop fly that I could have made a great play on when the dumb redneck center fielder who was way over dressed with his under armor on and every other accessory on you can think of called me off the play just to end up dropping the ball. Then my first and only ever softball at bat I struck out. I don't know if all softball leagues are like this but you start off with a 1 and 1 count. My glasses were fogging up and pissing me off and trying to hit a slow pitch is allot harder than I thought. Better luck next week i guess. I'm about to make country ham and eggs. Have a nice day.

Yea he was one of those super competitive a holes trying to live out his dream of being a pro athlete. I was trying to have fun and he f'ed it up for me.
