What's the interest in growing with retail store LED bulbs?

When using LED that is getting only 120/lm/w I think pushing up the watts per square ft would be a good idea. I'm not positive but I think the 30-35 per is based on more efficient LED lights. Again, not sure on this. There is a thread on IC where PAR values can be found and compared.

Yes, but more than doubling that to 65 is still WAY more than is needed.

I figured it out I think and damn its bright!

Not really. A good HPS bulb will get more like 150/lm/w

It will also be a single source. Meaning, less lumens per watt is required with multiple bulbs because there is better distribution of those lumens.

I know I probably drive some guys crazy constantly referencing lumens instead of PAR or PPFD but when I started growing lumens were the only reference used.

I veg and flower with 100w equivalent led bulbs they do fairly good. I am currently getting a strip build going. They are some good bulbs to learn on and get started with leds.
Thanks very much, I ordered 3 think different autos that were supposed to be here Monday with a photo blueberry I was going to clone the hell out of.in happy they arrive today 2 days early but no blueberry. Ak-47 auto Dem instead so now I have 4 autos I just started germinating in a wet wash rag.
