yeah it's essentially an RIU off-shoot of select members that are sick of the mass of idiots here. I think it's pretty easy to sift through idiot posts vs intelligent posts . . . some people would just rather not have the idiot posts at all.

I would prefer the latter, but RIU has a lot of good stuff here . . . . so for that reason alone that's why I stay here . . . . the good stuff never left, the idiots just came.

people are people and even if they smoke they can still be assholes, bigots, ignorant and everything else i can think of.
power corrupts and also has privileges. spend some time in the military and u will learn that.
as for people who get easily insulted, come on!
most of us here are adults. but we are still on the internet where u find the best and worse.
so be ready for both.

btw the whole i got something and u dont... classic, but not classy.

No offense, but I looked at your thread a lot more before "those people"

I'm very new, I used to visit a forum often and daily that turned into exactly the OP's subject, this place is actually way more mature, IMO, than my old forum. I hope it doesn't turn out that way, this site is my new addiction :D

Most of the "bad" people hang around in Toke N Talk, stay clear of that and you'll be good.

It's basically those people who join up just to talk in TnT and never contribute anywhere else on the site.

They get banned eventually, thank fuck.

Really??? I log in everyday, several times and check shit out, but outside of a few random spammers, I've not seen anyone worth banning in a long time, but then again, I dont have the time to be on enough lately to even know our more regular members.... could have a bit to do with it.

RIU is what you want it to be people.... sure, we have "d-bags", but anything online will have plenty. This is a public forum for the most part, and as such, much of the content is based on people's reactions to other people's threads. Stop replying to the douchbags, and they will stop seeming to be so prevalent... they get weeded out pretty quick on their own, but their threads are bumped months/years after they are gone.

Really sick of seeing all of these "riu is going to shit" threads.... grow a plant, quit posting bullshit, and make it better.

Just one man's opinion.

I never said RIU is going to shit I am saying the shit is coming to RIU. Maybe I was oblivious to it before and I am now just starting to notice it.

Sorry haven't noticed, I don't get on as much lately. RIU is one of my favorite sites and I wasn't trashing it. I was just ranting a little. Life is so much easier when we are civil to each other.

because this is an open online forum it would always... have d-bags, we just have to let them be and the mods will take care of them if they go beyond the line :mrgreen:

I also think that we need to respect the mods in here, I'm sure they have a lot of work to do and RIU gets lots of new threads every day..

the best way to handle the douche bags is to ignore them, you people egg them on and you unknowingly fall right into their trap...they love the confrontation...dont confront them and they'll get bored and go away.
