Got Bio grow and Bio Bloom......when should i start feeding?????? One plant is almost two weeks old, another is a week old.....
hey frosty, how do you like the bio grow and bloom. i have been thinking about using iti use bio grow and their bloom booster too.
It alos depends on what compost youre using, as some are good for around 6wks, but the best rule of thumb is to wait until the Cotyledon leaves(first small round leaves) go yellow and die, then start feeding.
its pretty tough to over dose a plant with organics, and i tend to start off 1/6 ---> 1/4 ---> 1/4 --->1/2 strength, vary rarely find many of my plants will take full dose without getting nute burn.
Also remember to flush your pots every few wks with ph'd water, so you dont get excess salt build up and ph fluctuation, because alot of nutes will lower the ph.
When you start flowering, continue to use the bio grow, but maybe at 1ml max, just to ensure your medium has enough NPK to maintain the plant thru til harvest....stop adding the bio grow 2-3wks before harvest.
for example as soon as they show sex i use 1ml bio grow, 1/2 strength bloom, and 1 tsp of molasses...drop the bio grow 3wks before the harvest window, continue using bloom, until around 10 days before harvest and flush with ph'd water.
kinda helps get the last growth spurt outta the plants, and uses the last remaining traces of any nutes in the soil.
my cotyledon leaves did not die untill a few weeks after flowering (4 weeks veg),,, so is this really a good rule of thumb?... the best rule of thumb is to wait until the Cotyledon leaves(first small round leaves) go yellow and die, then start feeding.
