I've been growin my sativa for about 4 months or so, started out indoors but then let it grow to ~ 3 ft outside... I'm hypothesizing that if i were to leave the plant outside until it grew even larger, there would be a better yield at the end of the season, however i know that in my temperate environment, i've heard that since it won't bloom till late august as the daylight shortens, the season will end too quickly and not get the nice yield that i'm expecting. However that's not the only problem, I've been tryin to distinguish whether or not I had a female or male plant and have had no luck with that... right now the plants are getting about 15/9, so its quite a bit far away from 12/12 in the season...
So, i would like an opinion of some more experienced growers, would it be wiser to expose it to 12/12 starting soon, since it is already quite large, and it will give me a decent yield, if the plant is in fact female, or keep it to the end of the summer and try to see if the plant will get taller and produce an even better yield while risking keeping a male plant longer for no reason.
