When to collect seeds?

Hey everyone

We're two noobs trying to grow some plants at home.

We've got lots of female and male cannabis plants here. We wanna have some seeds to try to plant them. Them female plants havn't gotten the flowers yet but they're big and they're soon to be getting flowers. Right now there are lots of white long stings sticking outa the female plants.

Anywho, we just wanted to ask when to collect the seeds of the female plants?

well unless the females have been polinated they wont have seeds at all, and basically just right before the end of the season before they drop off the plant. you should try feminizing the plant next time, its quite easy.

they've been polinated... so we can't collect the seeds before the plant has got the flowers?

we mean, is it possible to collect the seeds before you harvest the plant? you cant really use the flowers for nothing had the plant been polinated, so...?

Seriously man, this isn't "pot head / weed grower" knowledge, this is basic comprehension of how plants work... It's like asking if babies are born before or after sex... ;)

But yeah, goosecomander hit it on the head. The bud on the female plant is the female reproductive system. The pollen from male plants floats over and pollinates said bud, and they do their little nature thing and make seeds. So you need to wait for your plants to mature and then flower before you'll even get seeds starting. Once the plants mature and they pollinate, allow the seeds to grow nice and brown. Personally though, I'd recommend cloning, it's worlds faster, and honestly pretty easy.

F'n A to that. Sorry to have made the joke, there really is a balls ton of stuff to learn when you're just starting out.

The one thing I reeeally would recommend though is looking into cloning.

Like I said, sorry to have made the joke, my man. You asked a good question, I just grew up around plants of all kinds since my mom always had me involved in gardening and whatnot, so I forget what's obvious and what's not about them.
