Which "BIG BUD" nute is best?

I got my answer about using fancy expensive nutes it seems they are a waste of money. But now that I am in the flowering stage and am doing well with the 3 part DH flora series nutes I am using should I get some kind of big bud blaster nute? does this kind of stuff make a difference and if so what is the one people have to most success with? Check out my pics and tell me what you think I need. PEACE

I stay away from most additives.......always amuses me that they say "use our complete fertilizer" then have 10 different additives. I have tried a few...floralicious, liquid karma, etc..........for the most part....very little difference for a very high price.......I think I saw just as much effect by throwing a Tbs of triple super phosphate in my rez.... Only my opinion....I'm sure there are folks that swear by them.....

I'm not sure what you mean by high dollar nute not being worth the money......... For hydroponics, cheap stuff isn't an option.....in soil it's fine......veg state is less of an issue as well. Did you mean GH Flora series? To me, that's still an expensive nute...
I use dynagrow or Ionic....for the simplicity.....grow or bloom with DG, grow or bloom and boost for Ionic......... I have a dozen resevoirs so I don't like fiddling with 3, 4, 5 bottles.......

From back when I used GH........I recommend just dropping the green(grow) part out when you bud......I believe I used 8ml bloom and 4 ml micro per gallon with tasty results.....

It would be great if we could get more side by side comparisions for this type thing........only way to really find the truth......but only time I ever see that kind of thing is from the companies trying to sell you their product....so it can't be trusted............

For now, I'd just grow it as you have been........that gives you a baseline to work from.....then you can experiment and find what you like best.....with all factors weighed........yield, taste, cost, etc......

I did drop the N out when I moved into flower but had a problen with leaves dying and turning yellow. I just added them back in the last watering and my girls seem to be greening back up... PEACE and thanks

Never ever "drop the N" in flower. You need those leaves. Contrary to popular belief, it isn't "normal" for all the leaves to yellow and die during flower, unless the plant is being starved of nitrogen.
I'm growing TrainWreck also, right now. I don't use expensive nutes for them - just Jack's Classic Blossom Booster (10-30-20), and Jack's Classic All Purpose (20-20-20). I use both together. They are a fraction of the price of other nutes, but I think they do pretty well. Also add molasses about twice a month. These five plants are six weeks into flower.

I've been following your grows, very nice stuff :hump: I wanna grow trainwreck next for sure

Those Jacks are amazing too. I'd suggest using the jacks, or these from my other post (I personally choose these though)

Good advice Doe, I have learned my lesson and just added the Grow nute back into the mix. Did you check out my grow and see what happen without them? Thanks PEACE

Yeah just took a look, they were yellowing pretty fast on you looks like. You'll lose some of those leaves anyway, but don't panic. As long as the yellowing stops progressing, and the new fan leaves aren't yellowing also, you should be good. Other than that, they look good!

If I remember correctly.....the bloom and micro parts of the gh series have a N in them, so you aren't starving the plant for it by taking out the grow part....... It just happened for me, that I ran out of that bottle at a bad time so I just used the other two and it tasted better in the end so I kept doing it....... I think their formula is 5ml grow, 10 ml micro and 15 ml bloom/gal for blooming, but I might be wrong....the ratio is right, but not sure on amount...2Tbs/gal seems pretty high to me.......I tend to stay on the light side and found a post on the old OG that recommended the 4ml M,8ml B.....as I said, I liked it. The one beauty of GH flora is that you can manipulate the formula to suit you........

Ok, it was bugging me so I looked it up. GH Flora series Grow is 2-1-6, micro is 5-0-1 and bllom is 0-5-4........I should have more correctly said take out the gro part when flowering......the micro has more N than the gro anyway.... I agree taking out all the N would be bad......so accept the criticism for lack of clarity. For GH flora only, I would drop the Gro portion during flowering....for me it produced a less harsh, tastier bud....with no difference in yield.....

I don't use GH anymore, but it certainly isn't because it doesn't work well. Part is because I get too buzzed and forget how much of what I already put where....operator error....and the other is because back then there were only a few shops and it always seemed the part you needed most was out of stock.....most generally Bloom....our favorite.....

i've read a few grow journals where the growers wern't using the grow part at all. not in veg or flower because they said the micro had N. So they just used 2 part of a 3 part fertilizer. heres one of the threads where the grower said that. sumdumguy's grow.. its a good journal. sad ending though
