This bubble cloner is a rubbermaid tub that i've had running for 30+ days with NO roots from any healthy clones. I just recently light-proofed it, so that might have been a problem.
I intermittently add a dose or two of 3% h2o2.
base of cuttings are 1-2cm above water level.
water temps are at 71*F (i know thats too low... so i slid a heating mat partially underneath that slug-box).
Considering all these things, why have I managed to grow white-clearish blob-looking substances all over my 4' air-hose and airstone? i dont have any pics because i just wanted to wash it off, but if it grows back i'll snap some shots with the digi.
Really, it's gross. Kinda like a mix of cornstarch and uncooked egg white or something similar. It developed all along the bottom of the reservoir, and along the entire lengths of the 4' air-diffuser hose and the 10" airstone.
that cant be algae.
any info on this?
i'm stumped...
and i want some clones to root!
=]ty.
