the cure is going to make or break you...make sure to trim before drying i cant stress that enough....and get a nice cure on it and the taste will come around....i sampled a nug with my ex last grow and she was like this is crap it looks good but its garbage and harsh...i was like ok its not done curing...like one week later im telling her how good it is and she wont believe me so im like here just take a nug home and when she smoked it she thought i lied and gave her weed i bought lol.....their comes a point where it just turns from curing to cured and if you give it a good 3 weeks or so the goodness will come out!!...shit looks pretty good you should have some decently potent stuff their its all gonna come down to if you can ditch the harshness- will def be better than some 100 an o herb

Well my only worry with what I had to take off yesterday was that I obviously could not flush it. Well. I guess I'll be able to test the theory now of if flushing is necessary with hydro. This part wwill not be flushed. And the rest of the plant wwill be flushed in about a week for a week. As long as no more mold breaks out.

Cool... Sucks when you have to learn like this... I'm sitting and bitching to my wife about everything (she could care less but I don't give a shit, I'm baked... Isn't this the shit they pull with us?)... Anyways... I'm sitting here thinking, well I'll make sure to do this next grow... Sucks I have to wait like 3 effing months to get to that point again! Oh well... Bowls up! Maybe this will make me fell better... The half of the top I saved... It's about 1-2 weeks premature... Had about 2% amber trich, and the rest were split between cloudy and clear... After I dry and cure it... Will it be potent at all? I know it's going to smoke like shit probably because I obviously didn't flush... But what can I expect from the stuff I had to chop today.
Ok stop bitching you old tart its not helping. Now you must run at least one large osc fan 24/7 , not just at lights on. The plants must be moving slightly with the air movement so you have to adjust it. This way i had 60-70% rh last summer and had no mold at all with a mold susceptible strain with no dehumidifier either. The air movement enough to go through all plants 24/7 is the trick imo.

Well I do have a LARGE osc fan in there right now blowing the bitch all over the place... I took the fan down until I got the mold out, and now it's going full blast... I'm checking all the buds throughout the day to make sure it doesn't pop back up... at least what I can see... So far so good... And I moved the 3 lights that were on the main bud elsewhere so hopefully I can increase some of my smaller buds to make up the difference at least a bit.

Thanks for all the help guys, I'll keep this thread posted as the days go on.

And hey, when I'm blazed I tend to super concentrate on one thing... There was no basketball on last night so I was only thinking about how I lost my top bud... No worries tonight though, it's basketball time tonight!

i had 2 take my 2 main colas down yesterday salvaged what i could, i brought my plant in cuz just finished my grow box but it got to humid in there and i found 2 Caterpillars does anyone think they have anything to do with it? but anyway it got up to 67% and i even have 1" pvc tied into my air ducts that blows cold cool air in my box tho i might have to upgrade to 2". they sell different kind of dehumidifiers that im goin to try 2 there are ones that just suck up moister and don't blow air. humidity is down to 44% now with the door open and temp is 79 but i think my pc fan exuast might not be enough

Hard for me to determine what that is phinsmark91... Mine was brown mush under the white cotton stuff... Looked kinda like that, but I had white cotton stuff with it...

As for who I have... I just moved to where I am now from Ft.Lauderdale area, so I'm a big Heat fan... And yes, I want them to win so everybody can shut up... BUT, I am also originally from the DC area, and so is Kevin Durant... So while I want the Heat to win, I'm not going to cry for a long time if they lose... OKC is dangerous looking, but Miami always has Lebron, and as much as people hate on him, he is an absolute beast and as fun for me to watch as Michael Jordan...

I love football, I like hockey during the playoffs, and I love baseball during the playoffs...

Only two sports I can watch all year round are football and basketball... Funny, cuz I grew up ONLY playing baseball... I can't stand to watch 162 regular season games though...

Basketball is the best rollercoaster during the playoffs... No other sports matches it for me come playoff time... Each quarter is something different... Football is great, but just one game... I like to watch more... And plus, with all these head injuries, pretty soon it won't even be the same sport... Enjoy it while you can, cuz I see it changing drastically... to flag football!

they have everything to do with it.

those are called budworms. moths lay eggs on the plant, the bud grows around the eggs, the eggs hatch and eat the bud from the inside out.

the damage you see is the proverbial tip of the iceberg.

next time you grow outside, you'll need to spray with BT preventatively during veg. go to the outdoor growing section and check out the sticky there about budworms.

i lost over $1000 worth of outdoors last year that could have been prevented with a $10 bottle of BT spray (it is called BT because the active ingredient listed on the front of the bottle has the initials BT, tey advertise it to kill caterpillars).

well should i just havest? i smoked some of what i salvaged yesterday and it was pretty good even with a fast dry and no cure just a little leafy and smells like a green plant. its my only plant and next one is going to be in the box once it gets a few inches tall also to what extent is it safe to smoke? i only have the brown pistols deep down in most of the buds its like it spread but hasn't really rotted yet i only saw actual mold in the 2 main colas i already chopped

It is botrytis.bud rot. Do not put a fan anywhere near it, you will blow the spores all over your GR. You cannot just pick this out, you need to cut the affect bud off atleast an inch or two below the affected area and get it out of the room and out of your house this stuff is lethal to plants, it will wipe a crop out in no time. When cutting it i would put a plastic bag over affected area so as to catch the spores, although by doing what you have done already you may be to late for that. You need to check all plants everyday as bud rot works fast. If you find any more of it, then i would just cut my losses and take it down. More times than not this is the only/best solution anyway.
I would go with this exactly and sacrifice that top bud now !!

Sort out ur RH and airflow for the next crop.
