too late to top?
This is fine.temps are 80-82 when ac is off, low 70s when ac is on
Yes just leave it alone. it's good for the soil and plants. It means your soil is alive and activated and full of microbes. It will make for better healthier soil and plantsthanks so much. so it is healthy and natural? Should I just leave it alone? I use fox farm ocean forest soil btw.
This is good advice!Yes just leave it alone. it's good for the soil and plants. It means your soil is alive and activated and full of microbes. It will make for better healthier soil
do not I repeat do not use peroxide!!!!!
white mold - good
green mold - bad unless you know foe sure that it's trichoderma
Judging from the looks of her, she is lanky and you might do more harm than good. (Causing her to become top heavy and later you will struggle trying to keep her stable) Are you flowering right now? What's your light schedule?too late to top?
a 1000w you want about 18- 24 inches away. Too close and your plants will get stunted and bleached which is yellowing caused by the light killing chlorophyll. at the top of the plant.just checked my receipt, 1000w, can i keep this the rest of the grow? plants ok 8 inches from it?
Why? they're still in veg mode. just train them. You are using a tremendous amount of power on 2 small plants.
TBH, I would clone them and start over if you think you are capable.
yield mostly depends on genetics, veg time, health of the plant, environment. No one can tell you what your yield will be.will they still yield ok?
That all depends on strain and conditions of your room. Also, depends on how big your are trying to get them. Think of it like a Christmas tree. You are growing a Christmas tree style plant, where as I'm trying to get you to think upside down Christmas treewill they still yield ok?
They will become tall and lanky. If you have the money for a 8 Bulb T5 fixture (for veg and then using your 1000w HPS for flower) , I would love to give you some more advice from my perspective.makes sense, didn't know about topping until now.
the tall one is honey boo boo indica dominant and the shorter one is island sweet skunk sativa dominant.
as they are now, what do y'all think is the best strategy? was planning on just vegging them for a few more weeks before switching to flowering.
Veg times can range from 18/6 and up to 24. Depends on your needs and wants or power issues. You can use a 1000w HPS for veg and flower however you want a higher light spectrum. You can use your 1000w to veg, but you would want to go with a MH bulb. (make sure yours would be designed for MH and HPS conversion.)ok so switch to t5 for veg, then 1000w for flowering. 2 questions
1. what happens if i just stick with 1000w for the veg and flower? they'll be fine just super tall and lanky but otherwise ok?
2. how much longer should i veg? different veg time w/ 1000w vs t5?
