Honestly I never check humidity or ph. I only have 5 grows under my belt. 2-3 plants at a time. They have all been flawless grows. Lucky? I suppose.

I do keep a close eye on the temps though.

I do CFL grows in soil with lights 24/0 and fans 24/0 mainly autoflowers. This may be why I haven't had a problem.

I'm currently veging a reg fem Anesthesia mother and took 6 clones for the first time 3 days ago. All six are looking great. I'll be going 12/12 when roots show and are transplanted. This is where I might start running into problems with humidity. My temp guage also shows humidity so I'll start watching it too.

yeah a hygrometer is like 5-10 bucks. why not? i really dont understand why someone wouldnt monitor humidity. when i started my grow this year my humidity was at 20%. i had very slow growth. i didnt use a humidifier. but at least i knew why they werent growing very fast. its nice to be able to at least know your rh.

if ur plants are only like a inch apart u wanna keep ur RH low...like 25% or less..your thermometer might read 30% but if ur plants are cramped u times that number by 2 and thats what ur real RH is

Thats why Im wondering....because my friend has his grow room in his basement and that is where mine is at. He has like 20 plants in there 10x10, 2 1000 watt hps, and 2 oscilating fans. His last grow he had 6 plants and got 8 Os. Last time I was over there his basement had flooded and there was a good inch of water covering the floor. So I would assume his humidity would have to be high. So then I was wondering if I should really be that concerned with the humidity or not. Anyways....What ill effects have you seen from letting the humidity go to high??
exactly i grow min 300 plants at the same time with over 4000 watts per room bringing in fresh air, over 10,000 watts rooms completly controlled power bills in excess 1200 a month
when lights on humididty drops from heat etc lights off it climbs if i didnt have humdidty control it would be in excesss of 80 +

what mis-information?? thats a fact. I been growing for a while and i actually teach growing classes for a living plus im a vendor if u even know what all that means lol anyways I got a cheap thermometer that most growers use(ACURITE) and an expensive dehumidifier that reads RH in the air and when the rh goes up to 60-65% the thermometer still reads in the 30's ..ur leaves release moisture so when ur grow room is cramped ur RH is definitely going to rise and if ur plants are improperly spaced and leaves are touching then the actual RH of your plant will be higher then what ur thermometer reads
