In firearm ownership the mental capacity of said owner is wtf I'm concerned with, not penis size. Tell me 100 percent of legal firearms owners don't have some sort of mental illness and I'll tell you your full of shit. It doesn't take shit to lie on a federal form.

Nobody said that but you.

The Federal form you reference is a background check which is completed before transfer of the firearm from a licensed dealer. Which means that the regulators must drop the ball in order for a mentally unstable person to purchase a firearm from a licensed dealer.

I am so weary of hearing about the New World Order. I've got news for you. It's old hat. That term has been bandied about for at least a hundred years.

In truth, the Progressive Woodrow Wilson ushered in the NWO long ago.

But that does not take away from the need to be constantly vigilant against tyranny.

I don't take him seriously or pay attention, I just think he's hilarious...

And lyndon larouche people go around handing out literature that compares obama to hitler...I wouldn't really associate them with the democratic party even if he was part of it at some time.

I did not read every paragraph in this thread. I do have an opinion on the topic. I do not need guns. I do not care if you wish to have one. I am an old Veteran and had the pleasure of firing many weapon systems that are tame by today's standards. I truly loved the smell of all the gun powder on the M-16 and M-60 range. There is nothing quite like cutting a jeep in half with an M-60 machine gun. Don't even get me started on shoulder fired rockets like the LAW Rocket system. I am a medical grower and have tried for years to keep the senseless violence that is the drug business, away from my family. I can do that by encouraging other growers to be self reliant. I have barely touched a firearm since I was honorably discharged in 1975. I do not miss it, if I did I would buy a gun. I can take care of my family without one. I would love to leave a kinder gentler world for my children, but it is not looking good. I will defend your right to carry one if you wish to and I have.

Palin the politician is much more hazardous to the Conservative movement than she is to the Left. I prefer Sarah the cheerleader. Cheerleaders give good head.

At least we don't have Congressman Hank Johnson who worries that additional military personnel being deployed to Guam will tip over and capsize the island.

Restricting firearms to get rid of the small amount of firearm casualties that happen yearly is like outlawing cars to prevent car crash deaths.

So cars are an everyday items of life and going to work is very important, good. However, I would argue that guns are a necessity. Going to work is not more important than keeping a tyrannical government from forming and murdering you. You cannot trust any government to have your best interest in mind.

A great and respected mind once said ""Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety."

Giving up guns to gain a little bit of security at the loss of your ability to protect the country from the Government and foreign armies is asinine.

Define mentally ill? Would that be the anti gun crowd?

me myself i think people have the right to have firearms or not if it is to protect themselves. I myself dont have the need for a gun, but if the government wanted to round me up like what hitler done to the jews. I would fight with any means neccessary with any weapon that is available to me. I added my statement doc 111 coz the government want to take ur rights away to own a firearm. So when the dollar crashes and riots begin the population is easier to control. Then they will introduce martial law and lock up all the people that cant afford to pay rent for their homes and food to eat.

The New World Order is old news its what hitler was trying to achieve. If they had their wish and could achieve a new world order it would be done. It's the people that expose the governments plans and keep us informed with information they dont want us to know is keeping them from achieving the New World Order that they want. Just got to look at the georgia guide stones to me the georgia guide stones is the devils equivalant of the ten commandments set in stone. New World Order is the devils world order in my opinion.

You know what I realized on the way home? You have sex education for everyone in school for kids - why not gun education? I don't understand why we don't have common sense classes in school. Lord knows they could probably lose a week of long subtraction in jr high and not lose anything from it. I seem to remember doing hours of bullshit work because the teacher didn't have anything to teach us. Why not have them take a common sense class once a month about something they will deal with in life. 12 years of primary schooling, that would be 144 months more or less(minus months they arent in school) Even 100 lessons on common sense and life would help a lot.

That's a good point. Something like a mandatory firearms safety course or the equivalent of a driver's license would make sense, but most of the purists would consider that unconstitutional I would imagine. What do you guys think? There aren't that many words in the second amendment, so most of it would be up to interpretation. Most gun owners I know are very responsible and safety minded, but I've come across a lot of idiots

And I'm not sure kids need less math or actual school....you know, education and stuff. Exactly the opposite actually. I don't think you can teach common sense in a classroom.

And also, basil marceaux does raise a good point about nutcases owning guns. The second amendment doesn't make exceptions for the mentally ill, so are laws that prevent them buying guns unconstitutional...?
