That's not an answer. Its an anecdote and a postulation.

Do you not see in that persons first lines they basically say 'this is my best guess" which makes this someone's opinion and not fact?

Sure. It makes sense and it's plausible. But that's never been enough for you to accept anything you don't agree with.

The Asians and Indians come over here to improve their lives. If these were people who were making a solid living the primary motive to uproot and move to the other side of the planet would be deminished.

Plenty have come over without two dimes to rub together. The Chinese immigrants of the 18th century were brought over to be essentially slave labor out west. Their descendants are thriving.
