Really? You can't come up with a circumstance, or reason someone would grow from seed. I mean really?
1. Fresh or new strains the hillbilly dispensaries haven't been able to secure yet.
2. Exotic cross strains your dispensary will never carry.
3. Growing from seed means there is a zero percent chance of transporting bugs or pathogens into your grow room.
4. The chances that your dispensary is carrying the very best pheno of a particular strain is zero. I guarantee you they are not.
5. Some growers are looking for a male plant to make their own crosses. This must come from seed, as I've not seen a dispensary yet
that carry's male clones.
6. Most seed banks offer specials, where by multiple, quality strains can be had for the price of one middling dispensary clone.
7. I have shipped plants and clones all over the U.S.. If someone wants one of my crosses, sending seeds is much more cost efficient.
8. I like to have several seeds on hand of a particular strain, from the same lot. if I find that strain to be of the "kick ass" variety, I
have a fail safe' if the plant is lost, or I need to move it along.
9. Different seeds are always on sale. I like to stock up. If I'm trading clones, seeds are a good kicker to get a strain someone doesn't
want to part with.
10. Variety of genetics from the same pheno. Chances are, if you have been growing a while, your looking for a specific pheno for a specific strain. A ten pack of seeds will almost assure you of the exact plant type you want, for a specific strain.
