Why can't I grow Ass kicking weed?

For over ten years I have tried to grow weed indoors. But every time I get blah weed. No high, just a calming sensation with no kick???
I've been running a modified Stink Bud system, but I had a slow growing Durban Poison auto, that I put in soil this last winter, it is still going after over 18 weeks from germ and not showing any amber at all! I've tried SS Haze,Tagereine Dream, White widow and now Durban Poison, but none of them has done very well in the end. Being poor I've not tried very high cost seed, mostly Autos but I cannot get any weed as good as 1970's Mexican brick weed, let alone Thai Stick !
I've checked PH and PPMs, run high PPM and low-medium PPM but I can never get the shit to get strong? Was it light? I've pushed light levels to the burning point by keeping the LED's low on single plants, broad spectrum and burples, but nothing seems to work?

I've read RIU front to back and tried all the inexpensive techniques, 'cause I'm poor, but refused to resort to snake oils or 'WONDER' products as I'm poor and skeptical of most marketing bs, having been in marketing for many years myself.

My Durban is a case in point, in soil augmented with GH Grow and Micro, and being very patient, it's still not going amber and the test cuts are just meah. I germ'ed it the day the NFL season started but by Surper Sunday nothing was really ready, crap!

I got a very good harvest from one of my White Widows this last go around, over six-seven jars curing and smells good, but no kick! Curing by burping the jar from over 80% down to 60% for three to six weeks doesn't help much, except for smoothness.

I've got three fem Northern Lights Auto seeds that I will give a go as soon as I cut down the Durban. This time in soil and addements. with 250 watts of LEDs. It should be hot this summer so I'll see if the temp makes a difference it was pretty cool this last winter with temps in the grow in the 60-70s humidity in the 50-40's so not really ideal but no too bad.

So we shall see. If the NL is better I'll invest in some high cost seed from a reputable vendor, if not I may just break down and quit smoking weed.

I've mostly done Sativas, looking for something to wake me up and make me play my Ukuleles. 've had six major surgeries in the last 2 years and need a kick start after the radiation treatments last year.

I keep my LEDs down low to just cover the footprint of the plants and look for a light spread just on the plant. I've run 1KW HID but it just made my room hot and cost a fortune to run. You can fry a plant with just 100 watts when they are down low.

My thinking now is genetics so after these OO NLs I'll go with a reputable distributor with a solid strain.

Starting with a potent strain and a good light you wanna be sure that you keep the plant as healthy as possible. Some good light penetration boosts up the production trics, add a UVB fixture for 2/3 hours during the last 3 weeks of flowering and you some of the best frosty nugs you ever saw. I recomend using organic nuts like alga based as increases your chances of keeping them healthy all cicle and benefit from it.
Use a magnifier to know when to take the plants out, if you go for potency you want to see all trics cloudy, i usualy go for no more than 5% amber.
But remember that almost 50% of a good weed comes after you chop them down. A good dry and cure is essencial for achieving top grade.

Maybe you are harvesting at the wrong time.
I didnt know seeds where expensive 5-10$
I got 60w and weed is insainly good you should revisit your setup see ifyou have too big space for your 250 and see how the air moves inside

Get a strain with 24%+ you should get results you are looking for

I mean its not gonna be as strong as other genetics but it will still be powerfull.usually weak weed genetics have different effects

Maybe it's your body chemistry?.. Im not even an experienced grower, and our shit is a 2-3 hit and quit....for about an hour, then I'll hit it a couple more times. Then I got to bed... but only after a couple a episode of Family Guy or Off the Air.

I've never seen anyone smoke weed and not get high if was decent. Not saying it's not possible, but I've never seen it happen.

Hell. My friends played the same trick their older brothers pulled on them one time when we went down in the woods so I could smoke a bowl. The fuckers actually had me believe (for a minute) that I wasn't saying anything when I was talking, lol.

I started to get worried and I asked my close friend who didn't smoke barely ever if he thought I'd be able to talk again when I had to go home. He fucked up and was like "Ya, I think so.". My dumbass didn't register that he obviously heard me since he responded, but I was smoking the WA Chronic, lol.

Wow 10 years and no winners? You didn’t say( or I missed it) what kind of numbers you’re running or where the seed stock came from. There could be a multitude of reasons your flower isn’t potent from environment to genetics, nutes/ additives. All that shit really really matters in your final product. I feel like you are likely failing on more than one of these of you haven’t got a winner in 10 years on the inside. My legit opinion is to systematically rule out the potential issues starting with Genetics( from your post) From there I bet you’re gonna have a lot better buds. You came to far to give up, long post to motivate you not to quit ;)

Okay Guys, I may have gone astray a bit. I just smoked a 1/2 joint of my Lil' Durban testcut after ~ 8 months from germination solid 18-6 as lit as it would take. This shit was, effective. :D

I rolled it and looked up Bett Midler's "Ukulele Lady," and lit up.....An hour later I was watching Bett on Johnny Carson interviews and taking another couple of hits while stroking a few licks on my Ebony Concert Uke.

So I guess Sativa's do need a LOOOOONG time to get ripe? If it gets better, I'll take it. Still no decernable amber and mostly crystal clear on the remaining still growing 90+% of the 6-10 Inch blossems, and all the fan leaves are dry and falling off, but Lil' Dee just keeps chugging long. It might take 9-10 whole months to bring this off.!

MEANWHILE... I have a 1/2 joint to finish and a dark Ukulele is calling.
