Why Legalization should be Stopped! (wait, hear me out!)

Cigarettes and weed are totally def.. I can grow my own tobbaco but it would taste like shit if I rolled it up. Like tomatoes I can buy comm. grown that have no taste or locally grown that are wonderful but more expensive. 20- 30 dollars a gram for mj ,come on, you have to agree that for the amount of work
that is alot of money.

I am friends with my hydro man too. I can get stuff cheaper on the net but i don't I like dealing local.
Seems to me his business would boom after the vote leveling off after a couple years. maybe not.

Please don't think I have anything against you. I am down with your career. I am just trying to live free and legal. If mj was legal I would have nothing to worry about at all. I live in the grey and black know though. As far as the taxes go. I could really careless.

I don't like hiding the things I do. Everyone I care about knows I smoke. Just would like to be able to tell the whole world.

You got it all wrong! Prices will drop, availability will increase, people will stop being prosecuted for recreational use!

i think you should vote yes because some states wont legalize for a long time or never will legalizing it in california will open other states to think about it

3 good plants is over 3 lbs. I can grow 3 plants with about 8 days work 1 hr per day. If you thimk marijuana is hard to grow you either don't grow much or you don't have any shade of green on your thumbs.

If you want me to tell you how i do it it would take about 3 sentences. Your probaly the law wanting peoplle to send you weed.

This isn't the way legalization should be done and what we have been waiting for our whole lives IMO. This thing is faulty as hell.

I can cope with what he is saying. He is basically saying it being completely legal would open up the market to mega corp's who already have the land, the gear, and the market cornered. I personally think it should be free and shared and putting a price on something so great is a shame. Geed and arrogance are a sign of weakness. But like fdd said a few pages back sometimes it is better to just take things slow.

well; we can shoot down this step toward total legalization and hope for something better in the future or we can see this as another necessary step down a long road. i remember the deep sigh of relief when decriminalization went through. i remember the hope engendered by the passing of compassionate use laws. are we now going to take an all or nothing stance and refuse the next step toward the end of this inane prohibition?

it really makes no difference to me. my garden is secure (for the moment) and provides enough for me and my few friends. in my eyes it is already legal and i will continue as i always have. i would like to see an end to these unjust laws. i would like to let my babies enjoy real sunlight without fear of prying eyes. i would like to feel that at least a portion of this nation is back on the road to permitting the individual to reign supreme over his own body and destiny. i would love it if y'all would simply ignore the imperfections and celebrate another small victory, but it really doesn't matter. regardless of what the voters decide, the hypocrites of government will ignore their will and the charade will go on.

Are you trying to say that it is hard to grow mj? You send me 3500 dollars I'll give you one. You have convinced me I am a fool for giving weed away to my friends and faimly. But you are neither.
Why don't I just send you one of my homegrown tomatoes. If you can grow tomatoes you can grow weed.
It's a weed it grows wild with no help at all from humans.

But seriously what about hash? Is it going to be leagal you could always sell that.

I paid $25.00 a gram for some hash last night. I feel I got a great deal. no complaints.

It just seems to me you will still have room to operate outside the law and make money on MJ.

Here's just 1 idea. your collective buys a truck. Load it down with weed and head south east.

I guess that post was not for you.

Just because mj is easy to grow. Does not change the fact that its worth is determinded from the risk involved in operating outside the law.
Not the plant itself. That is what the guy that stared this post is saying. He also said that himself and other growers work hard on fixing the price of MJ.

So it seems that the "NO" camp is comprised of:

-assholes who want to protect their source tax free grey market income
-cretins who are for legalization but don't agree 100% with exact wording of this bill and think something better will come along
-short-sighted dimwits who somehow think that prohibition and price inflation are good for the cannabis market and fear competition from legitimate entrepreneurs and professional horticulturalists

I realize that the police are trying to get in all the arrests that they can, in the short period they have left-- sort of like hornets, whose nests have just been hit with a rock. They are fighting mad but they wont be able to arrest you pot-smoking Californians whenever they want. This is exactly what they were opposed to when prop 215 was on the ballot. They are out of touch, and they should be out of work!
