Why social scientists keep "discovering" conservatives are dumb, crazy etc...

conservatives aren't allowed to ask questions such as "why are blacks so damn lazy and shiftless?" and "should being barefoot and pregnant be compulsory for women?", so they bitch and moan and cry about how they are a persecuted minority.

it's tragic, right up there with the war on christmas.
Such retarded questions are the counterproductive factor, not the backlash to them. Once again the right wishes to blame the left for it's own faults.

As I stated to these guys earlier, progress is a left wing goal, opposed by conservatives. They can't seem to understand how important progress is to scientific endeavor.

for them, science is only a tool to help them confirm their prejudiced biases.

if it doesn't confirm what they already think, it's "science", not science.

no, it was that poor persecuted white male conservative, moynihan.

he is such a victim.

i cry nightly for him.
moynihan was not a conservative. he was a liberal. of course once he crossed the rubicon with a question that could lead to racism he was summarily changed to a conservative just to ensure that your narrative remains secure.

opposing discrimination is good, unless the discrimination is against evil whitey, then you must not resist. after all whitey DESERVES his punishment.

if you persist in opposing discrimination despite the obvious crimes committed by people who look like you then youre a whiner and a racist both.

if you decline those labels then you just have a victim mentality.

if you decline THAT label well then it's time to post pictures with words on them, and a silly meaningless slogan du jour that you think is profound.

buck, why dont you just try staying on the issue. even once. who knows you might enjoy the thrill of a new experience.

when a social group is defined by a racial group then the examination of that groups activities is sociology not racism.

AC, I see no evidence to indicate that conservatives oppose progress unless you define progress to mean "liberals get a blank check".

Bucky, you can give up on your melanin crusade. That is NOT what Moynihan was getting at and NOT what I am getting at. I am willing to talk about race and I am sure we will find lots to disagree about but this thread is not about race.

Samwell, I need a Klingon interpreter to understand your point.

Wow, you're stupid. Conservatism is defined as being opposed to progress.

If you consider more poverty as progress, then yes. Conservatives oppose modern day progressives and their big government propaganda. You call the guy stupid, but then have no facts to support your claim.

yes, increased poverty is due to the progressive agenda. we have accomplished our goal by allowing the previous GOP administration to crash the economy and then doing absolutely nothing to change the eligibility requirements for assistance programs.

thank you for helping us to complete our agenda by rooting for clueless GOP businessmen presidents such as hoover, shrub, and the next great hit, romney.

how'd hoover and bush, the last two GOP businessmen presidents, work out for you?

conservatism is not defined by opposition to progress, but by opposition to change, and support for tradition and stability.

all change is not progress, some change is in fact REGRESSIVE like for example:

The "progressive revolution" of Pol Pot.
China's "Cultural Revolution" which destroyed 4000 years of Chinese culture, tradition and society in favour of the "Thoughts of Chairman Mao"
the creation of SMS text messaging systems and the destruction of the english language that is a direct result.
Drum Machines.
Digital sampling of music.
Inserting Christian creationism into science textbooks. (i wouldnt mind it at all if they were also forced to include the creation myths of every other culture and religion on the planet!)
GODDAMNED DRUM MACHINES!!!!
dubstep.
Methamphetamines, the "New Wonder Drug" of the 1940's. can we have coca leaves and laudanum back if we promise to lay off the meth?
Sweet Merciful Jesus Cinnamon Titties. I HATE DRUM MACHINES!!!!!

I love how since people are tired of hearing about George Bush, so now you refer to him as "the past administration" Rather than attack your opponent, and try to turn him into George Bush, how about you tell us all the great things your incumbent has accomplished

translation: don't mention relevant history, it makes my vagina hurt.

why don't you cite all this "poverty as progress" by naming all the changes to assistance programs by the current administration so as to make it easier to get on the dole. i'll wait for you, socky McJizzsock.

dude. the foodstamps program in california advertises. its a program in search of more "customers" not a social safety net any more.
likewise there are several publicly funded medical programs which do not have enough clients to justify their costs so they are trying to get more butts in the seats by advertising on buses, billboards and even internet banner ads.
when free shit isnt moving enough units they are next gonna pay people to get on their programs. in which case ill be like the fourth asshole in line.
i may have my dignity, but dignity and an empty sack is worth the price of the sack.

Why is Obama reaching out with tax payer dollars to try and find more people to be dependant on food stamps? I thought the idea was to create more jobs. Instead, it appears as though Obama is trying to create a permanent underclass of poverty and social victims that just deserve "a fair shot". Hes starting to sound like the Castro brothers.

The Obama administration met with Mexican officials and held other events to discuss enrollment in food stamps and similar programs roughly 30 times since President Obama took office, Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack revealed in a recent letter to Congress.
The initiative is one of several the agency has “to promote awareness of nutrition assistance among those who need benefits and meet all program requirements under current law,” Vilsack told Sessions in the 24-page letter, dated Sept. 12.
United States and Mexico started partnering on food-stamp awareness. That partnership, though, has raised alarm with Sen. Jeff Sessions, R-Ala., who is concerned the collaboration amounts to a vehicle for the USDA to pressure people onto the food-stamp rolls — in this case, noncitizen immigrants from Mexico.
Vilsack released the information in response to Sessions’ request this summer for more details about the U.S.-Mexico Partnership for Nutrition Assistance initiative, which educates Mexican immigrants about food stamps and other assistance.

The Mexican government has been working with the United States Department of Agriculture to increase participation in the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), or food stamps. USDA has an agreement with Mexico to promote American food assistance programs, including food stamps, among Mexican Americans, Mexican nationals and migrant communities in America.“USDA and the government of Mexico have entered into a partnership to help educate eligible Mexican nationals living in the United States about available nutrition assistance,” the USDA explains in a brief paragraph on their “Reaching Low-Income Hispanics With Nutrition Assistance” web page. “Mexico will help disseminate this information through its embassy and network of approximately 50 consular offices.”
