I've got an auto critical kush by barney's farm in dwc 19l oxypot nice big airpump plenty of fizz, hailed water cooler so she's had a steady 20° all the way through breeder says 8/9 wk I popped her last week in July so she gotta be 13/14 wk and does appear to be getting there this is the first time I've had anything resembling success in dwc however I have 2 photos in the same tent crying out to be flipped am I going to forfeit much if I go to 12/12 ? I had given up on this plant stretching at this point but if she isn't doing just that my eyes are bolloxed anyone else had this experience r.e stretch so late into flower? Makes little difference - flower is flower to photos and autoflower.

Autoflower plants don’t have a photoperiod dependency that requires daily light to be 12 hours (or less) in order to bloom. Apart from that, autoflowers grow like normal cannabis, producing the same terpenes and cannabinoids.

However , grow them past any breeder recommendations - run them as long as necessary not by some arbitrary “ harvest time “.

Your DLI will be reduced, which means a little less yield. But it wouldn't make sense to prolong flowering for the others just to squeeze a little more out of the auto..

There have been some reaserch from 14 to 10 and it showed slight reduction in thc but it was strain specific sooo maybe not.

I know personally last few weeks it will not affect your grams

I find that if you flower autos under a 12/12 schedule, they actually flower more slowly. I've got a NL auto right now that I grew separate from from another 5 in a different tent. I gave her an extra 2 weeks ( about 84 days ). I got a bit more bud than any of the other plants,. The buds were bigger and it gave the best harvest. Now this is anecdotal, but I plan to experiment a bit with this as I grow both autos and photos, I can always toss one or two in with the photos while growing the same in another tent on 18/6. I find that if you have good lights, anything more than 18/6 is a waste. I've been growing autos for ten years and played with lighting schedules quite a bit.
