Will insulating a drop ceiling help a mini split.

Yeah it could be done I’m a little paranoid that I’d have missed sealing somewhere and it creates so much mist in the air while being sprayed, that if I did miss somewhere it could get on my plants. Maybe the blown in would be better cause it’s just made from paper right?
I couldn’t imagine the guys that do that spray foam for a living not having health issues. Yes he wore a respirator once it got bad(could barely see 10 feet so foggy in there). But I’m sure over time they breath a ton of that stuff in.

I'd blow either cellulose or fiberglass right on top. Cellulose is treated paper. That would be the easiest way. It will create some dust, but your room looks very well sealed. Maybe wait until you harvest and do it when plants arent in full bud.

The numbers you're pulling out of that room are nice. You should do a journal and share your knowledge.

What size containers and what medium? Are you multifeeding, crop steering, vpd? give me some details man... canopy is beautiful.

I run 7 gallon fabric pots in one room and I have the 5 gallon hard pots from floraflex and their risers in the other room. I feed once per day by hand, but plan on setting up the floraflex microdrip soon. I run hot and humid (82 temp 65 percent humidity) for the first 3-4 weeks then slowly lower temp and humidity as the run goes on.

I DO NOT recommend a Kilmaire mini split, it was working fine but now one hour to the next it’s swinging from 80 to 65. I can’t keep a constant temp. It’s coming out as soon as this run as done and I’ll do something else for cooling. Either another mr cool unit or some actual split systems. But every quote I get for split systems is outrageous.

Senville units are probably the best bang for your buck mini splits. I've have a (3) ton unit thats been going strong for a year, friend has the older model running about 3 years with no issues. We both clean them properly through between runs. I've ordered a few more 3 tons units in my new build, so I'm very happy with them.

been liking my senville a lot as well too. And the $50 wifi unit worth every penny. Lol. Wish I skipped Trolmaster mini split controller. It's 3X the money and I don't really trust it compared to the wifi app.

I have two of the trol master mini split controller sitting unused, I can’t figure them out. If your unit thermostat was correct it might work but no mini I’ve ever had would hold temps in a grow room on the proper setting. For example having to set it on 68 to maintain 75.

right now both mini split I bought have the built in WiFi, but my metal building and all the insulation make internet impossible, I seriously think I might have to bury a hardwired line to get internet out there.

I use this to get internet out to the grow.

Also insulating your roof won't help much with the AC vs insulating your walls. Although with heat it's the opposite. Roof is more important. Also one of the most important things is air tightnsss. ThAts how they achieve those super high efficiency homes that you can heat with a fart. Is they make sure there is literally no leak anywhere in the membrane of the house. And they do that with spray foam usually.

I tried like a 500 dollar set of WiFi extenders from Best Buy. Pretty sure it’s the metal shell of the building I need a WiFi extender that has like an external Antenna, so I can put that on the outside of the metal building.
That's not wifi. That's Ethernet over power line. So unless you are blocking you electrical cable. Should work.

mans they are like $50.
