Will Mueller be fired?

Looks like I slipped on the same banana peel. ;)

Will he be fired? My gut feel is yes. What has to happen is trump has to make the internal calculation that consequences of firing him are smaller than the consequences of him continuing on.

One is the possibility of impeachment.

The other is the possibility of charges ranging from conspiracy, to money laundering, to RICO, to espionage/sedition/treason. Those could eventually strip him of his fortune and everything he holds dear (his own image), even if he somehow keeps his liberty.

Of course, those charges may come either way. So might impeachment.

And trump is not exactly the sharpest thinker on the planet. Nor is he the most stable personality. And he isn't really surrounded by anyone who can influence him.

I say muehler goes; or at the very least trump tries to fire him.

In some random moment, in another rage over his belief of unfair treatment, I believe he might try to fire Mueller. Maybe he has tried to already. Deputy AG, Rosenstein is the one who actually has to do the firing. Just speculation, but perhaps Rosenstein has already refused to fire Mueller.

Understatement of the year: "Nor is he the most stable personality". LOL

I'm looking forward to the constant drip of leaks from the 10,000 e-mails that Mueller's team just got their hands on.

He would have to fire either sessions or rosenstein to directly fire muehler. The AG is the one with the power, but sessions recuse'd himself because he is a target of the investigation. Let's leave aside the issue that trump nominated and got confirmed someone under suspicion of conspiracy in the first place.....

But he could also get the ag to suspend or toss the ruling that created the office of the sc. Then muehler would have no authority as a prosecutor, and all work product would go to rank and file prosecutors who would be under the control of the ag. Just firing muehler wouldn't solve the problem. The team would still be there. He has to disband everything at once.

So he has options. But in the end he will probably just toss sessions and put in someone like judge perino or napolitano from fox. Then he would get rid of the investigation and all prosecutions, and also weaponize the DoJ/FBI. All stops would then be gone. It would be like hoover was president.

Or maybe the will put a straitjacket on him, lock him in a closet and call Ivanka to talk him down from an episode of rage.

I'd love to see Saturday Night Massacre II. Usually the sequel is bad but in this case it might be better than the first movie.

since you are cowardly avoiding responding, I'll ask again,

So, are you swallowing the "slavery would have gone away if we hadn't fought the Civil War" theory?"

Was the US the aggressor in WW2?

Did you agree when Trump said "bad people on both sides" when he talked about the Charlottesville protests and murder?
I'm not sure who you're mixing me up with; I've never said nor have I implied that slavery would have gone away on its own without conflict.

I've never said the US was the aggressor in WWII, either. Afterwards is another story.

Nope, didn't agree with the Chump about much of anything that happened in Charlotte.

You're very confused.

You can't remember what you posted a few minutes ago and i'm not interested in going back through them.

I was checking to see how far into unhealthy delusional conspiracy theories you've gone.

The primary was not rigged.

It wasn't any fun the first time. I don't want to live through a sequal.
Reading up on what happened, we came within one rch of a Nixon takeover. There are people who claim the Republican party doesn't have the stuff to stand up to the president like they did back then.

In part two, Trump dies and comes back as an insane unstoppable murderer who is fixated on Debbie Wasserman Schutlz. Schultz does a lot of screaming and running around. Comey takes the role of Dr. Loomis who is always one step behind the crazed Trumpian demon.

At one point, the leaders of the senate called in the joint chiefs of staff to get assurances that they would not follow Nixon's orders if he made a move against congress or tried to seize unconstitutional powers.

That shit was real. Dr. Strangelove wasn't "much" of a parody. There really were people who wanted to use the military to settle the question.

Luckily, Nixon was a paranoid crook, but he wasn't crazy. He knew the resignation with pardon offer was the best he could do, and he took it. Trump is lawless, and crazy. Not a good combination when you have virtually unlimited power and authority.

This makes me feel a little less nervous. I don't think Trump has anywhere near the backing of the military that Nixon did and even then, they backed the constitution rather than the prez.

rumor has it, trump will swing the hammer on mueller dec 22.

here is a site with links to all planned protests in the streets if the orange clown does it.

The pessimist in me says, 'look at all the good protesting the shit gibbon's policies has done so far'.

The optimist in me says, 'if we all stand together, our government will listen'.

But will we all stand together? I'll be there. Will everyone else show up?
