Will these clones take?

Ok so I was in a rush and I am stupid lol, but I took my clones, 45 degree cut, straight into the rooting hormone, then straight into the neoprene in the aeroponic cloner…I forgot to put them into the cubes :dunce:. So they arejust dangling…I’ve seen clones root like that, but I was wondering what my chances of success are with no medium to speak of in an aeroponic cloner.

You are not supposed to use cubes in a clone machine, they will stay too wet.

Yep(IME), it has aceytlsalycilic acid (that may be misspelled) derived from willow bark. Aside from a natural plant growth hormone it has the same effect in plants as it does in humans/ mammals. It thins vascular fluids, for us it's blood, for plants it is sap. It seems to help a lot especially prior to root formation. I haven't noticed much of a difference in my more established plants.

I've only recently started using it so it could be beginner's luck but there has been a lot of research done on it on the AG side of growing and logic says it should help here as well.

oh yeah i should give that a go in my dwc cloner then. do you think it would react with chlorine? i sprayed a bleach stained rag with iso 2 days ago and still having panic attacks as those two apparently create chloroform when mixed and it can be soaked thru the skin and whatnot lol
always being extra careful when mixing chemicals :)

Shouldn't react at all. I did use about 2 tbsp of water to crush and slurry the aspirin before adding it to my cloner but there were no ill effects at all. Don't go overboard, 1 325mg tablet per gallon is on the high side, so I wouldn't go much more.

I've been meaning to try Root Riot plugs in a cloner hooked up to an intermittent timer. For clones, but also for seeds / seedlings. When the weather is warm it's hard for me to keep them moist. Especially once they've rooted. I bet someone on here has tried.
 
they got this effervescent tablets and thats cool with added vitamin c what could go wrong? fuck does chlorine react with vitamin c i bet it does? don’t people use vitamin c to dechlorinate their water. i think i’m gonna go with tablets then haha

It's kind funny I was reading a post on here from I think 2005 saying aspirin will kill your plant's. I read further and the grower was putting 3 tablets per gallon, and yeah it killed them. Over concentrate anything and it can be harmful/ deadly. This led me to further research that sounded beneficial so here we are. I'll keep using it.

So let’s say hypothetically, I put some cloning gel in the hole on some root riot cubes and then put the clones in that real quick…in that case would you leave them in the cubes or remove said cubes from the cups and just raw dog it?
 
If they're already in the riot cubes may as well let them ride, i wouldn't want the cubes in my cloner. They could break apart, add unknown inputs and stay way too wet.

Well, I agreed with that and went ahead and took them out. Couldn’t really hurt them just being in an hour or so, just another dose of cloning gel, right?..I promise I am done touching them!
 
I knew I was doing it right, I should have never second guessed myself :(. But I had to go to work after I took them, and the whole time I thought the water from the sprayers will wash the rooting hormone off the stems and I will come home and they will be dead, and I can’t do anything to fix it now…so then 6 hours later I couldn’t wait, I rushed to go get a little more gel onto them and put them in plugs to save them…oh well, next time I will stick to my guns and be more decisive.
