I'll get some on in just a minute, My new setup has:

Currently:
2x 5500k 200w(43w) 2800 Lumens "Each"
8x 5500k 100w(23w) 1600 Lumens "Each"
4x 2700k 100w(23w) 1600 Lumens "Each"

So currently, I have a total of: 24,800 Lumens, and 362 Watts of Power

I plan on adding 4 more 2700ks, and switching 4 of the 5500ks to 2700ks for flowering, making it:

2x 5500k 200w
12x 2700k 100w
4x 5500k 100w

Should I add more then just 4 more 2700ks or is this setup getting to the right spot ?



Couldn't figure out how to upload a photo, but currently my setup has a bucket, with 2 100w cfls above each plant, with the 2 bigger cfls above them kind of centered, also painted the room flat white.

the sets of leaves are nodes! sounds like you are well on your way! how many plants under that 300+ watts

4 Now, I had 6, But I killed off 2 so that the 4 could grow stronger.. Do they look healthy ? Those are 2 I pulled out for watering so I took some pictures.. Oh and the 2 I killed, did have alot of yellow spots on the leaves n stuff :D , and their fan leaves where growing in deformed, so I figured eh nix them and let the 4 get stronger

depends on what you're height restrictions are. most people wait until nodes are alternating and plant shows sex

Looking good. You made the right adjustments and your plants look healthy which is all that matters.

Like jb said it'll depend on your height restrictions but also your light penetration, you won't want a 4 foot plant, for example, because the lower nodes will be shaded. Now if you surround that plant with bulbs you could get away with a plant that tall but it might just be easier to have them around 2 feet tall and not have to worry about filling in shady spots as much. Switching when they're about 1 foot possibly a little less might be your best bet, completely up to you though... You're doing great

Ok, cause I can look now at the new nodes forming, and all I can see, is like 2 lil worm looking guys coming out the node, like a 2 headed worm with the same back end :D, but I read I need to see hairs for female, or balls for male

i have 3 growing all about 5-6 nodes tall and ijust topped. so I'm sure you could do it now noproblem.

Why don't you start with LSTing before topping. And if you do top.. keep it for cloning. THe plant has to be pretty mature to tell sex. Some will put it in to 12/12 so it starts showing sex. I have gained enough experience after 2 years to now be able to see the sex without putting it into flower to do so. I magnifying glass helps to see.

Yeah, I have a 40x magnifyer, and im LSTing / Topping together, Right now its growing pretty nice, i have 4 tops on each plant, growing like a nice big bush.... Next question though:

My leaves seem like they are being eaten somewhat, but they aren't outside they are inside, and there is nothing that could be eating on my plants, but 2 plants have already been eating


I was told I could put pet. jelly on the outside of my pots, and it will keep them from climbing the plants and eating them.

never have had a pest but ive had a few leaves like that. are you sure you were handling them carfully? i used to ding up the leaves all the time little rips and tears randomly.
but fingers crossed no pests!
