Windowsill grow (with supplementary LED support) - defoliate / lollipop or not?...

My auto plants are 7 weeks into what's probably an 11 week lifespan. They get around 8 hours of strong, direct sunlight hitting all sides, not just the canopy.
Also, since I've seen flower sites spring up, they're getting 8 hours of supplementary light from a 150w LED Monkey Farming Grow Light, mainly hitting the canopy.
They're getting fed Bio-Bloom on a regular basis too




Is it worth defoliating almost 3 weeks after the first signs of flowering appeared?

I dont have a ton of experience with autos, but it seems the general consensus is that its best if you dont top or defoliate an auto. It can stunt the plants growth and lower yield.

Mainly to get the LED light hitting areas that are in shade at the moment. Unlike during the day, at night they're sat very close together, seeing as I'm only using a single 30cm x 45c light. I thought losing a couple of large leaves might open up the canopy a bit, and the stuff at the bottom that won't grow any more could go to increase air flow.

Just a thought.

Leave them be - no defoliation . Just throw as much light as possible at them. They would have been much better with 18/6 ( minimum )of dedicated light to reduce a lot of that stretched growth.

OK, cool.

I was never gonna be in a situation to give them that kind of light quantity. These were originally gonna stay as window grows & the LED lighting was actually a fairly recent decision to help boost the growth of the buds.

Only reason to defoliate is if its too much and you are getting wet leafs and mold.other than that i dont remove leafs.and your plants you can see the wall behinde there is almost no leafs
