Winter solstice flip

Welcome to the hat's medicine cupboard, taking this opportunity to put a bit of druidism in me grow by flipping on the solstice LOL

Area 8 foot by 5 foot holding 37 should be 40 but 3 pegged out. Each plant has 1 sq foot to grow in.
Yes i now will be slatted something rotten with only 1 sq foot but its ample for each plant to give its best.

No i will not show my system as its different from anything out there and the only system to incorporate static electricity as a Abiotic stress elicitor.
Living soil is an Elicitor just nowhere near as good as static. LOL

Its not NFT, DWC, or ebb and flow.
Its my namesake NTT Nutrient Trickling Technique its theory is from the Hanging gardens of Babylon

Static allows the plant to grow in 1 sq foot because they grow differently.

How so?. Like your leaves show praying. Static causes the branches to do the same thing, growing straight and erect with little to no sideways growth.

Previous grows have been lite with 2 x 600 hps BUT have found this too much power and not yet reached optimum yield for the area. So have opted for LED and 480 watts on 4 x 120 watt panels

these girls got a bad start being burnt by my own stupidity cleaning the system and not flushing sufficiently gave them a good roasting and burnt me roots off anyway 5 weeks later there back and ready to go.
the burning has caused the internode gaps to tighten was having troubles gaining some stretch before the burning Now the lights are 3 foot of the canopy an there still as tight as your hat.
Have done this before the effects can be quite dramatic later in flower, so lets see what happens next.

This is my top up regime at the mo cos the plants are stripping the nutrient out of the water using 100 ml instead of 70 ml to maintain a 2.0 E.C
fill bucket with 10 litres add nutes. while filling roll a spliff let it settle . bucket marked @ 10 and 5 litres
Add to tank
smoke spliff
check tank in a couple of hours 2.0 E.C sweet as.
Job done.
Using a P.H. buffered nutrient which takes it to around 7.0
With the P.H. range having so much variant I threw my P.H. meter away years ago and do not worry about it
been using Ionic for about 18 years Growth Tech have stopped it now moving onto this growers arc in its place

Day 6 of flower slowly starting to show a bit of stretch put in a close up of the largest plant situated middle at the back of the picture immediately it stretches the stem also fattens up which makes me think even with 440 watts its still ample power. no nutrient top up tonight only used about 9 litres not enough room to get 10 litres in will do it in the morning and tonites bit of defoliationIMG_20201226_201916_3.jpgIMG_20201226_203807_4.jpg

E.C was flashing 20/22 this morning, topped up with 10 litres @ 65ml a bit below the 7ml per litre so my tank comes back down to 2.0,
beauty of it E.C can go up 28/30 and it still does not burn the roots. Static protects to higher variants

Day 8 hard work done LOL topped up nutrient tank with 10 litres of water with 35 ml of nutrient E.C. was 20/22. that should bring it Down to where I want it 18/20. Will check it when the lights come on and the real work of defoliation starts again.

That was a bit of a task nigh on an hour to defoliate tonight but it gets like that every now an then. There's lastIMG_20201228_202806.jpg
nights leaf in the picture as I didn't pick it up.

Changed the nutrient this morning far more laborious using a two part nutrient , having to wash out the syringe , gonna have to invest in another one. LOL
no defoliation tonight
just the next day on pictureIMG_20201230_203210_3.jpg

Did the defoliation first tonight. Just starting to get a bit of stretch . Quite what these plants are going to do i don't know. Last time i roasted the roots they shot up real late in flower, but that was under HPS this time its under LED and 440 watts against 1200.
Noticed the smell has changed and they are stickier.
looks like they like this new nutrient already only been on it 12 hours.IMG_20201231_210431_3.jpg

Day 13
10 litre top up @ 25 ml of nutrient as reading was 20/22
leaf was a whole load stickier tonight had to use cooking oil and soap to remove it from my hands similar amount removed each night
pictures are still a bit boring yet probably another 5 days or so before any buds show. Though heads are starting to show out a bit better now.
What's surprising me is how tight the plants are staying some are getting a decent bit of stretch but others are still tight as your hat. considering only using 2 x 240 watt panels each have 2 x 120 watt panels. going to be interesting to see how the bud builds.IMG_20210102_205404_3.jpg
