Wondering if I should harvest during storm, or wait.

Strains are White Widow, Blueberry Bang Bang, and Ice Cream Cake, clones planted in pots outside on July 19, and they started flowering around August 15 I believe.

I thought I’d leave them for at least two more weeks, but it hasn’t stopped raining since Friday morning and the weather shows it raining and cloudy for the next few days until Tuesday so I’m worried these plants will get mold or bud rot or something.

Honestly these were some spare clones that I didn’t have room for in my indoor tent, and I didn’t expect them to do well, but I’m really amazed how they turned out and I’d hate to lose them and the half pound of bud on them.

Should I chop or roll the dice? What would you guys do? If you think there’s a chance that I could beat the storm and come out with better bud I might risk it

Here is the next week forecast. Is it worth the risk? Am I close enough that risking it would be foolish, or far enough away that harvesting would be?

Everyone told me I harvested way to early because it looked just like yours. Within 36 hours, if that even, the hairs had all turned red fully and trichomes brightens up.
By day 2 the hairs bloomed and trichomes remained same with little red as it was during harvest.

Hung after taking fans off and it's been 5 days for one cut and 6 for the other and 6 day is done and I've done cut and trimmed it for final then jar.
Left some lay out on a screen last night to finish up to smokable level and it couch locked me and made me feel like I wasn't here and floating away.
So sticky I can fling it at the wall and it literally sticks and has a resin pull like cheese does lol.

So to shorten up my answer
Harvest away
The only factor to stop you is if the little sac below the flower is still going through swelling cycles. If it is then it is still pumping resin and fun into those buds.

Once it stops is in my opinion the optimal time to harvest

Everything still rippens, matures and oxidizes on the stem over that next week.

I only found that out because I had a branch break and I thought it was holding on

Nope, broke clean through, scanned over and fell off but the props had it in place where I didn't notice. But over that 2 weeks that branch used the nutrients and water stored and want it could absorb through it leaves, to finish up and the buds are 3" across on it.
So to make all that short lol

Harvest anytime during the last couple days of the 2 week swell or within a week after.
Plant will finish during harvest just like peppers and tomatoes do

Once I found they do that with that broken clean off branch it was chop time before the week and half of rain hit.

And it turned out fabulous and not even through cute yet. So up is a possibility in flavor and potency

Harvest for outdoor is very weather dependent if you got big frosted buds that look close or mostly done and a big storm coming weed that’s a little early is better than ruined in the storm

I don't think plants will mold in the rain from constant rain. It's more staying wet during dry times because of bad air flow and tight clusters. High humidity mornings, low to the ground branches. Water alone seems to back off PM

Hard to tell from the pics, but it doesn't look like many pistils have turned brown and receded. Just a guess, but id say another month.

I'd say let em ride, go shake them off after the rain you be fine

Those plants are no where near harvest.

Hmm sounds like a tough call with the storm coming in, Given the rain and the risk of mold or bud rot, it might be safer to harvest now, especially since those strains are susceptible to moisture issues. If they're already looking good and you're happy with the progress, it could be better to cut your losses rather than risk the whole yield. On the other hand, if you have any way to cover them or improve airflow, that might buy you some more time. Good luck buddy hope you end up with a solid harvest.

The white widow shouldn't be susceptible to moisture; I'd read it was supposed to be a resilient strain for growing in humid conditions(to an extent obviously).

OP, it's Tuesday, so I'm curious if you held off! I hope so, as long as humidity was going to drop to 65% or less, and with a sunny Wednesday expected at least she how she is till Thursday. And whole plant pics??

we might live in the same area as my weather was the same as yours. we have nothing but dry days ahead after a last bit of drizzle this morning. i let my girls ride out the rain, and i'm doing morning checks for rot or mold. plan is to harvest at the end of next week.

I cut three down and I’m going to risk the other three and see how it turns out because I’m curious what will happen.
