Nice! Which ones did you go with? I'd like to try out Qush, since I've been favoring the indica bud over the sativa. I have my radar set on GDP, Blue Kush (BOG), Sour Life Saver (BOG), and Alphadawg (Alphakronik). Alphakronik also is coming out with a "Willy Wonka" line. His Sincity Kush x Purple Urkle.I just bought some TGA seeds that I want to do the same thing with, I'll be watching Doc to see how it works for you.
What a nice setup Shaggn! So clean in there man and those trays are perfect. How big is your tent? 4x4? I picked up the trays that are a little wider, but you could easily fit another in there to up yourself to 40 2liters. Looking forward to seeing your jungle expand. I have 30 myself right now.We are live n runnin!!! Still have some fine tuning. 32 to start with another 26 to be added when ready. Have a couple shots of my tent. Did some mods to quiet things down to a whisper. Peace!!

I ended up getting Ace of Spades, Plushberry and The Flav, some of the freebies seem interesting enough that are coming too. I had hoped I would have been able to get Qurekle but funds were low. GDP is on the screen but everyone was out of it.Nice! Which ones did you go with? I'd like to try out Qush, since I've been favoring the indica bud over the sativa. Thank you for the reply as well as the rest of you guys. Did you tie her where you pinched or what? I just did it and she is just hanging over looking miserable...Should I tape it or just leave it be?tsboss, yes, cotton candy can be a very tall plant. I know it sounds scarey but snapping the stem (pinching till you here a "pop", then stem bend over) as Moebius suggested is an effective way to keep the top from getting into the light while keeping the rest of the plant well fed. Here is an example of some C99 that went crazy tall on me. I snapped the stem till it hung over at about 12" from the top. The top lifted back up on it's own to about 90°. The colas formed anyway, it stayed out of the lights and still got some nice yield. At the time it was the hardest thing I'd ever done to a plant.....now I'd do it in a heartbeat.

I only have regular bamboo stakes and of course that didnt keep it up and yes I have 3 fans blowing. 1 on the left&right side of the room and one mounted on the wall.^boss man -
You could run a vertical stake from the pot to support that pinched stem. ... or .. you could leave it for a bit. .... the bend will callous-up a bit but when it starts to form a bud the weight will likely pull it down again (unless you stake). . At least now, your light can be focused on achieving a more even canopy.
If you don't mind me asking - How you doing on oscillating fans? ... I'm guessing you'll need a few from what I can discern. .. Do you have air blowing between the lights and plants? and also at plant level.
edit:
The fans help with general stem strength and health as well as moving the hot air away.
Thank Shaggin, great to see a WOH member has experience with this, now I feel better about moving forward with the LSD. I keep telling myself...."just get them in the big bucket and they will explode". Hopefully I can work on that yield.I grew Barney's LsD for almost a year (Soilless - Promix). They were very problematic in the beginning but once they got a nice root system it wasn't to bad. A lil heads up for u, they will naturally have a droopy leaf (canoeing downwards), they get this look when they mature. Out of 5 beans, 3 that were kept were all relatively the same in characteristics. Only slight variances in stretch n yield. They didn't yield to well but the smoke was worth it!! Peace
Jela10, thanks for pioneering the grodan cubes. I know you purchased them by mistake, but they seem to be working out great! I wished the Blue cheese would have responded better. How are the cubes at retaining water? Do you have anything else at the res or just the cubes? Im trying to get rid of all my perlite so I can give coco a try. I'm experimenting with OC+, so a lot of us WOH pioneers are testing new methods for the bettering our beloved method.Prepping for transplant tomorrow, 2 Barney's Farm LSD's (18days old in hempy party cups) get transplanted to their new 2gal homes tomorrow with Grodan grow-chunks as the medium. As you know I just ditched my newest grow with BF Blue Cheese..all were stunted...couldn't take Canna nutrients with even the light mix. Funny thing is these BF LSD seeds were purchased at the same time and they are only slightly more tolerant. ??? Who knows why...every thing I've done with successful grows in the past has been anally and painstakingly reenacted here. This stuff burns over anything, even with Canna "Start" after 7 days of normal RO water after sprouting. It's the gentlest stuff on earth for young ones... I could ditch these too and drop seeds now from another breeder but, in my experimental departure from standard hempy mediums, if these eventually kick ass it will mean something.
Here are 3 LSD's, all were sprouted in "Rapid Rooters",.... one was put in a hempy cup of Grodan mini-rockwool cubes and the other two in coco hempy cups. As you can see the largest one is in the mini-cubes with hydroton balls atop to keep them from drying so fast......it's not statistically sound to say the rockwool is better during initial start-up simply because of the size difference...it actually burned more than the coco girls too. To move forward however, I'll pick the two coco youngsters since they will be evenly matched size wise once they see the flower tent..

Here's the rockwool grow chunks in the 2g pre-charge buckets. I soaked them in ph water for 8 hours today. I drained them in a bucket drilled with 1/8" holes in the bottom (great for perlite or hydroton douches too), then gave them a dunk in 450ppm nutes as a pre-charge like I did on the "mapito" grow. I'll show the transplant particulars tomorrow as I do it.

There are a few ways to start your seeds. you can soak some starter plugs like rockwool in pH'd water (I like it around 6.0) or you can go with Jiffy pucks or Rapid Rooters. Either way you get them moist (not soaking wet) place the seed in them (POINTED END DOWN). Place them in a container that has a lid and put them in a warm dark space. Check them daily until all have popped up then add light. My seeds have arrived and I'm not sure what to do? how do u start a hempy plant?
