Anyone ran liquid orgains or teas in hempy
JD,Agreed...I had read that, tho I have not grown hydro yet.
When it came to microbes and hydro, I had heard of lacto-bacillus
being used to clean roots being attacked by rot.
Good luck,
JD
The only problem I see is that you will have to water with the Tea daily, AACT is only good for 24 hrs. So that means watering daily. I was making 250 or 500 gallons when I made it for my courses. I would inject it into you irrigation system for the whole course or make up a spray tank, 500 gallons and drinch my greens with the products, be it either AACT or EM1.They work in Hydro, you just have to replenish them, not feed them. .They probably work great in Coco hempy. They work in DWC . There are many products made just for hydro . Kangaroots, Greatwhite , aquashield/hydroguard etc . But making compost tea cost less and is stronger.
Try some , you'll like it.
Happy New Year Moe.....so glad to see you back in the saddleMerry Christmas Hempynauts! .... damn, its good to be BACK!
TWS,I believe in the DWC thread you are to replace them every three days. In a hempy they might live longer or until they eat all the dead root as food or eat themselves. Guys using liquid karma might keep them alive longer. I can keep my tea in the fridge for 10 days safely.
Question ? what kind of water did you guys inject them microbes into ? city / tap warer ?
Cheers Man .. Looks like they did away with the rep system LOL . Newcomers to RIU will be baffled by the +++rep.Happy New Year Moe.....so glad to see you back in the saddle

Very interesting and this has come along ways. I have seen land scaping companies offer kinda like the same thing.TWS,
We used pH'ed treated well water, I used a sulphur generator and injected the liquid sulphur into the irrigation pond to keep my ph in the 6.5 to 7 range. We pumped water from this pond for watering the course.
I installed a new irrigation system at the club I was at before I retired, it was state of the art for water management, distribution and computer controlled. Hell I could sit at home and operate my system. Incorporated into that system was a state of the art Fertigation system which allow me to basically spoon feed the turfgrass, by need and location. So injecting the compost tea at a rate of two to 5 gallon/acre of AACT was very easy to treat the entire course. I also used a 500 gallon tank we would fill with lake water and add 10 gallons of AACT an sprayed the greens extra, that gave me approx 5 gallons of of tea to the ac.
What I saw from those treatment is why I say you should use AACT but my suggestion would be to do a good flush with ph'ed water and AACT. After you have finished the flush, drain the rez and refill with straight AACT. I would not let that set more than 24 hrs as without continuing feeding and aeration the microbes will die and that can create problem.
When my current grow reaches the rez and gets 4 to 6 nodes I will start a program of every two week tea apps, which I will do as explained above. after 20 hrs or so I will flush the remaining liquid and microbes (mostly dead by that point) from the bucket. I know this sounds like a lot of work but folks you don't want biofilm to form in your rez.

In the early 90's I attended the Soil Food Web seminars on biology (the Soil Food Web), compost, compost teas, and microscope usage. I have done some consulting with organic farmers in NorCal on both compost and teas also on the use of EM1 in agriculture. Just spoke to one of them the other day seeking info on a golf course he is a member of, and he said he is now using EM1 on all of his crops (24 different veggies and fruits), over 1200 acres of organic farm, damn cool I think. When I lived out there he would give me boxes and allow me to go pick as much organic canning tomatoes I wanted, the last pick was 250 lbs. That was a nice treat.
Sorry for the rambling but just smoked some of my latest grow, the CC/BBGA (Cotton Candy female/Blackberry, Grape Ape male). I love new grows, LOL.
Peace out and Happy New Year to y'all,
GR
I'm just so happy to see you back on RIU....several of us have been so concerned about your situation.....I really hope all can return to normal in the near future,,,God bless my friendCheers Man .. Looks like they did away with the rep system LOL . Newcomers to RIU will be baffled by the +++rep.

Thanks dude .. I think I may need to do that, no point hanging onto this Avatar/Username and risking whatever. Guess I'm holding off doing this and becoming a newbie again. People tend not to trash talk with me because they've seen me around for a while. LOL.Mo, If you need to re-create yourself then just IM people here.
I am glad that you are here, but more-so that you are happy.
