I might have to get a pair myself I wonder if they're more effective than a pair of welders goggles. ..... Its not worth risking ones eyes although many will go years without even considering it.
For around 15 quid, you really can't beat it!

Hey mobeuis GDP mother plant looks nice. How old is she and what type of light do you keep her under.
Shes just kept under T5 lighting and is about 4 weeks old. She and her twin were taken as clones from a flowering GDP I have in the bloom room.

Its crazy to think that a month ago she was literally a small bud of weed with NO growing tip. The very bushy growth is certainly because shes a clone from bud.

Has anyone used Black Gold Coco before (place by me doesnt stock Canna coco)? It's in a bag and not sure if it requires flushing or not. I can grab a bag for $25 and with all the talk about switching to coco, I'm interested :)

Thats a soil with coco in it. ... looks like it has quite a bit of humus material in it.

It may work well.

Dank, that will work I'm sure, but it has some organics in there...so the simplicity of a pure hydro environment and a proven ml/gal nutrient system will not be had....you will probably have to to watch plant's activity like a hawk and undershoot the nutes as the organics break down. Maybe an organic nute system is the answer too. As a matter of fact I was an avid Lucas formula fan at one time and was very successful in coco with the one-part GH FloraNova "Bloom" which has some organics in it too. Might just be a nice match-up to a coco "blend" if you are a Lucas man.

Wattsaver, do you feel the coco medium has been a contributing factor for you this time around? Maybe your CRF's?
Jella, The coco coir has been a great medium, and has been real compatible with the OC+. The only drawback for me is the recycle aspect. I need to use a screen with openings large enough for the prills to get rinsed out, so the only thing left after the rinse is a few hairs. I've been thinking of picking up a brick of the coco chunks to mix with the coir.

Has anyone here used the chunks???

Watt, I'm starting to think that growing larger plants is the way to go for myself as well. The issue I am faced with is the fact that having so many plants in the tent makes it hard to water. Having the tent open for a half hour is really stinking up my place (temporarily). By having a smaller number of larger plants, I can get away with having the tent open less and resolve the smell issues I'm faced with. The grow room is located by my furnace which is picking up the wonderful perfume and venting it throughout the house (NOT GOOD).
Dank, with just a 400W HID and 2-2gal buckets in a tent you can net 8oz with a good strain and some coco. Your time in the tent will be less with a watering system fed from the outside. I can even feed while the girls are sleeping. I only open up 1' of zipper to eyeball daily progress and I only unzip half of the tent to adjust lights. There are time when i have it open for 20minutes to dick with pruning and plant rotation and then the beautiful aromas arrive in other parts of the house just like yours. For that reason Kush and Skunks strains are not my thing anymore.

jela10, what is the diameter of the 2 gal bucket? Just wondering how many I can fit inside the 3x3 tent. Maybe like 3 of them main-lined?

Dank, your 2L's look awesome man but I hear what your saying about the smell. Nothing seems to activate smells like warm air and a furnace will only exacerbate this.

It really took me a while it beat my smell issue because I had overlooked just two small gaps. 1 gap was where pipe-work passed between two rooms. The other was a key-hole. ... of course, I'm sure you've considered everything already.

Moebius, thanks for the compliments. I do love the sog with 2 liters, but I'm afraid I'm not going to be able to contain the smell while watering. I've solved the issues of smell while the tent is completely closed, however, the issue at hand is that the tent is kept open during watering. There's no way I can not water these without the door almost fully open. I have a side oscillating fan to blow over the tops and ensure that it's not crispy (noticed the top fans taco'ing). Jela10 has a point with having an irrigation system configured outside the tent. If I only had to water 4 buckets instead of 20 2L's, I could turn my heat off while I water and just spray the room down with the home-made ONA spray (Thanks again Moebius). I've been reading a lot about the main-lined hempy's and am wiling to wait out the veg so that I don't need to worry about smell. I have 1 more 2 liter run in me though because I can't wait to veg out the plushberry and qrazy train. I'm prepared to just setup some mister's and oil burners throughout the house to counter act the temporary stink.

wondering if u guys considers the xxl fiji bottles they're square
Square containers makes more sense with multiple plants. More so if growing in larger Hempys.

I don't know what a 'fiji' bottle is ... i'm assuming its some sort of beverage. .. I would just say if you have to buy lots of them, its best to go with the non-branded bottles to save money.

Here ya go Moebius:

They have them in 32/64 oz. Probably really easy to tape.

Dank, 2g "ringed" utility buckets are 9.25" diam @ top and 8" diam @ bottom. I did a quick layout in CAD software for you to get an idea of the spacing for 3 buckets in a 3x3 tent (all dimensions are in inches).

@drdrank You mentioned going big in a 3x3 tent and following the main-lining concept. Well I haven't followed the single hub concept to the "T" yet. In my experience I ended up with a pretty good sized plants after the training. So for me I couldn't do more than 3 in your tent. I have seen people that train them real young and hard, with this training you could get more in the tent. But if you could take a known female and train to the plant size that nugs uses, then a single 16 headed monster would fill the tent.

27 days on the Pineapple Express....trimmed 50% of the fan leaves just to get this much light to the newly forming colas....as far as the mapito...no complaints at all. Nothing too superior over coco except my watering frequency is still every 3 days where it would normally be 2.5days by now. Rockwool definately holds more water. PK13 is taking a nice effect as I caught it just at the right moment. 1 or 2 more feedings and I'll stop the addition, step up the base nutes for a week and then start working it down for the last 3 weeks. Per Moe's suggestion I'm working down the lumens setting on the Lumatek ballast from 400W super lumens to 400w-only then maybe even 250W during the last week. This 2 bucket grow is rock-in in typical hempy fashion.

Need to change your unit settings from engineering to architectural so we can see those fractions...........................................

Why would you want to step the lumens down towards the end of the cycle? I've never heard of this. What would the main benefits be, compared to normal lumens being kept the same through bloom?
