I’m not worried about bugs going down there. Maybe fill in the gap with more soil or something. If you move the fabric around lots it will do this also.

Ok thanks I'm going to do that tomorrow and I think before I fill the gaps I'm gonna put some diatomaceous earth down there just in case.

Gnats will usually let you squish them, they don’t really fly away when you bring your hand close to them.
I never tried to actually squish one buy usually just swat them away...ill try to squish one tomorrow. This is making me wanna buy a tent and light lmao.

I know about LST but was thinking about doing some leaf tucking for now until I get the materials for LST...Can anyone explain the leaf tucking method..I think i understand it for the most part but this plant is short and compact

It’s called leaf tucking bc you tuck the leaf! Lol like wherever u can.. Every plant is different tho. As long as there is good airflow and the plant is well fed I wouldn’t bother with tucking anything. Let them large leafs get the light as that is what they are there for.

It just looks like this plant is real bushy all towards the top with all new growth and I'm just trippin on them getting the right amount of sun but I'll let it be

Sun came out fully and it's standing up more now..ill get a pic soon ..gotta be kinda stealth about it cuz in my state I guess you can't grow outdoors even if you have medical card ..looking at it from the window it looks like it's getting pretty good sun right now (8:12 am) except for a couple new growths underneath the 2 new tops (topped 12 days ago) seems to be thriving ..only thing I'm worried about is my soil is has dropped quite a bit in this 2 gallon fabric pot idk if soil just dissappears a little bit after each watering or what but I think I'm gonna have to transplant it for the 3rd time in like 2 weeks

usually for your soil to be dry enough to pull from the sides of your pots one of two things is wrong.. you may not have filled them properly which led to pockets in your coil or you are letting them dry out too much..

This usually leads to a re-occurring watering issue as soil that dry tends to be hydrophobic and when you water it passes right though without properly saturating your soil which in turn ends up causing issues for the plants.

I would add soil as needed to fill your pots then water to saturation

It's normal IMO. When you water, it hydrates and "bloats" the medium. As it dries, the volume of your medium shrinks (obviously, as there's less water, so less overall volume) causing the space you see between the soil and the walls of the fabric pot.

You'll probably notice over time there seems to be a little less soil as this expansion/contraction happens over and over. Perfect time to top dress with more soil.

Living soil especially does better when you don't let it get bone dry. You want to keep the mico herd alive, and prevent the soil from becoming hydrophobic. The plants will tell you at what rate they need to be watered. In flower for me, it's every other day. Watering the right amount consistently, and slowly, is the best approach IME.
