Madballs? Of course, they are hugely popular, so much so that there is a punk band named after them and vinyl artists recreate them in all sorts of ways.

And MIMP/Muscle are two very different franchises/toylines. ;) Muscle derived from Kinnikuman ~
(Typically called 'Muscle Things' in the UK back in the day.)

Here are a couple of bootleg (Mexican) Madballs:

I usually hit the salvation armys around here, there is probably a dozen of them within a 15 mile square

I get all my cooking stuff from them. Got a 1970s electric hand mixer that would out beat most of the junk they have today.

Got a pressure cooker and food processor from the same era that work great. They might be ugly ass puke greenish yellow but I don't care.

I get all my silverware from there too at .25¢ a piece you cant beat that and it's nice thick stainless silverware not the shitty ass chineeses garbage you find for cheap in stores.

Basically all their cooking shit is good and cheap. Metal spatulas for a buck a pc. Nice pot for $5. You find the better stuff in the stores that are in better neighborhoods obviously. If you don't give a shit about your shit being miss matched than it is the way to go.
Ooh I got a lovely steel pressure cooker when I helped my mate, who does car boot sales, clear a house. The lady that lived there got sectioned, she'd bred dogs and been unwell a while before going in the hospital so it wasn't a pleasant job and my fella wasn't chuffed that I brought anything home from the house, but she had some lovely lamps and curtains!
I'd never actually dare use the pressure cooker cos I have vague memories of my dad running out the back door grasping a steaming, whistling, evil looking thing wrapped in a towel shouting MOOOOOOOVE!

Head-Cha-La!
(“Head-Cha-La” is actually a rough English-ization of the Japanese slang word “hetchara,” whose meaning is roughly “it’s no problem” or “I can handle it.” - Yukinojo Mori)

I first saw this show around 25-30 years ago when I was in college, heh....it used to come on late at night (the 'stoner hour') on PBS, dubbed into Spanish.

Non-pink/neon Muscle, eh? Yeah, they are pretty crappy, but ironically certain colors/sculpts command hundreds of dollars these days. ;)

Of
As far as I'm concerned we should still be in the PS2/GC era...a golden era! I've still got dozens (hundreds?) to explore before thinking about moving on/up!

MIMP, you say? Nah, never heard of 'em...though I hear they were little rubber things that you Brits obsessed over back in the day, like Mini Boglins. ;)

Of course. Ps2 was the longest running platform of any system. It has the most titles available.

I'm big into the early blizzard games based on dungeons and dragons.

Baldurs gate 1&2, planescape: torment, Icewind dale 1&2, never winter nights 1&2.

Me mum is a thrift store whore. I guess she likes to hit the pipe and walk around goodwill while she's on it. Im always having to tell her to NOT bring shit to my house. She does find some good stuff sometimes and I'm like "ok, I'll take that!" lol fucking asshole.
My mother n law does the same shit and brings it all to my house, she says my neighborhood has the best yard sales so I get stuck with it..smh
She also picks up what people have set out as trash, she calls them "roadside bargains" and yep brings them to my house..

My friend (and I have been known to tag along) likes to check the big bins behind the charity shops because they throw more away than they can actually fit on the shelves. I put her onto my local one, it had boxes and bags piled up for months round the doorways cos they just had more donations than they could sort and sell so most of it ends up in the bin. I think it's disgusting, why don't they just tell people who've spent hours sorting their shit out for charity to take them somewhere else? Anyway my friend does rather well out of it, she takes a stool along to stand on so she can reach the bottom of the bin. All the dudes in the Indian takeaway come out to chat to her now on their ciggy breaks cos she's so well known!

My mother in law used to try to give me a bag of expired food every time I went over there...and there was never a time our income wasn't 3X hers...finally had to tell her we aren't going to use that stuff...cake mixes that expired 2 yrs. ago don't come out very well...lol.

Yea I forgot about that she is always trying to send food home with us, expired shit.. and same boat as you we both work so our income far surpasses hers, she is on a fixed income..

I have a treasure sitting in my attic I should probably sell. A bag of those He-Man figures, original star wars figures (I have the whole band from the rebel planet) ,a big ice fort thing, and a big Rancor figure. There's a Mr T doll still in the package, a little rough but is all there. There's all the Voltron figures that connect into the big robot. There's original transformers, hot wheels, some old Tonka trucks, Lincoln logs. Then there's a shelf downstairs with some of my parents toys on it from the 1960's, a kids chemical set, a giant helium filled "remote control" blimp, a vintage slot car, a giant automatic bowling game.

I collect. As a matter of fact, my wife and I hit all the second hand stores in our area once a week and always find a good score.

We're in a retirement area of nevada near Tahoe and let me say, these old people hold onto stuff (awesome stuff!) and when they die nobody takes it so off to the donation center they go where I gladly pick it up for cents on the dollar.

Your toy haul was killer, bro and I'd totally take that Aquaman off your hands

The Rancor is such a great toy, I've got a few. Also that Galoob Mr. T doll was a great birthday gift one year, I think I was 8 or so.
Good times, good times.

Trouble with a lot of the vintage stuff, though, is that a lot of it is actually decreasing in value. As resculpts/new versions are released, it oftentimes screws with the marketplace. Just look at the MEGO scene; nearly every one of the 70s originals has been rereleased, causing the originals to dip in value quite a bit.
Good thing I collect for nostalgic reasons and not for profit, eh? ;)

SW really hit the wall a few years back....other than a few rare variants and the Blue Snag, 90% of the figures in that original Kenner line (around 100) can be had all day every day for a couple-few bucks each.

Thankfully, I've still got a few things tucked away...
:P

Yes, I think that's the issue with my local one having to throw so much away, they're right next door to the vile "independent living" retirement homes, where old people are left to rot because social services say they aren't far gone enough yet to deserve care and the staff watch their decline with disinterest. Oooph went off on one there, sorry but I feel better for it.... :peace:

My cousin had the Alf doll, I always wondered where it came from because Alf wasn't really a thing here. My fella sold a Sega Saturn with 6 games and a broken controller, it was in awful condition, I'd have been ashamed but it came to us like that, for £75 the other week. I thought he was gonna say he'd got about £15, maybe £20 tops. That was a good night.
