Today I snipped off a whole bunch of not-so-healthy leaves that were shading some parts of the plants.
I hate doing that, specially in the end of flowering as I believe that thoes leave contain the energy the plant needs and moving them away is taking power from the plant.
I did it as I thought the lower parts needed that energy more.
I started giving the nutes that should be last week - 3ml Hesi Coco, 1ml Atami Bloom Complex, 1.5ml ATA P\K and molasses.
Later I checked the status of the trichomes.
The Blue Mystic is almost done. It will be filled with a lot of water with molasses in 2 days and cut down 5 days later. The trichomes are 30% amber and about 2% black already.
The Great White Shark is about 20% amber with some clear ones still.
The Cheese is a tiny bit behind the Great White Shark.
The White Rhino have about 2 weeks to go with about 25% still clear and about 10% amber.
I had no access to check on the Lemon Skunk but I would like it to go as long as possible.

I might move to another place in a few months so I'm not sure the 8MH will get to finish. Moving plants is too risky for me at the moment.
Its clone have rooted lightly and it been potted to a plastic cup, watered and put in the dark (another opaque cup on top of it) for 48 hours before it moves to flowering to determine sex.

Monday means update

Week 9 into flowering today.

I started giving the Blue Mystic only molasses water at about 3-4 liters a day. That way what comes out of the pot also feeds the other plants close-by.
In 2-3 days it will be manicured alive and 2 days later - chopped just before it wakes up. hopefully.
Its looks ripe enough to me to start this proccess. I'll follow it closely to see how it goes. Might take a few extra days or a few days less.

Beside that everthing else is pretty much the same.
Its the first time I get some purpling on the buds with the Blue Mystic. It looks like rot to me, but what the heck. I grew out 5 females from seeds by now, growing about 12 plants total.

I learnt a proper way to color correct my camera finally so picture should be better as we go on from here.
The overall photo was before I found out. Looks bad.

I'm learning a whole lot about organics. I think my next winter grow will be half organic and half mineral.
Anyhow, I'm still starting the learning proccess, which seems to be a very long one compared to the learning needed for growing in coco\perlite with mineral fertilizers.
Thank you Mad Librettist from ICMag

I've worked for almost 2 hours yesterday manicuring the big Blue Mystic while its still alive. PAIN IN THE ASS doing it on the screen.
On sunday it will get chopped down.
The idea behind manicuring it a few days before chopping is that the trichomes broken while trimming will have time to revive. Stressing the plant should also give more trichomes so I've heard.

On sunday, after chopping the Blue Mystic the other plants will get their last feeding with fertilizers.
From there its only molasses with water.

No pictures of the manicured Blue Mystic, I was too tired.

I harvested half of the big Blue Mystic that rippened well.
I rigged a drying box consisting of a cardboard box, 2 PC fans and clothes pegs.

I guess that they will be dry in a week or so.

Started flushing with molasses water yesterday - all the plants together.

I'll start manicuring the day after tomorrow the ripe parts, then a few days later they will get chopchoped.

I made some BM gumby hash meanwhile. The picture is the solution after straining the leaf matter and waiting for the trichs to sattle.

Manicured the whole BM after pulling it out of the screen.
Nasty work.

It now waits in the storage shelf with the fertilizers for 2-3 days until it get chopped.

My 8MH started showing major N deficiency, probably due to the lack of feeding during the last month or so.
It recieved 1ml\L GHE One Part TotalGro.

I've added a picture of my drying box.

Its a day past the 10 weeks mark. Sorry I couldn't update yesterday.

I'm giving the plants as much water as possible - about 15L every 2.5 days. I can't give them more because the water build up on the floor and are about to drip from their frame.

I gave them a bit of extra molasses - about 4 even tablespoons for 15L of water.
They started yellowing to quick for my likings.

I need to find time in the next couple of days to manicure the ripe buds - they should be picked already.

The 8Miles High is growing well even with the N. def. Not as quickly, but it does grow well.

Anyhow, the main reason for this post in pictures :D Everybody loves pictures.
The picture of the bud without the name is BlueMystic.

Good Luck and a Happy Grow
I've already almost finished this one. I might join it in my next run however.
Thanks for popping :D

The Lemon Skunk is a very poor yielder and the Great White Shark tends to collect lots of insects but they are both a great smoke.

I had the same problem with GWSharks anything that could fly would find that strain.Have you tried Blackstrap molasses during watering or other organic pest teas?

I use molasses (not blackstrap, but unsulphered) for the last week or so.
Didn't help one bit with the bugs issue.

a 20" industrial fan did help a bit. Sticky traps are nice too.

But I don't think its worth the work this late into flowering.

Day72:

I found some time to trim most of the fan leaves and manicure a few buds.
I hope I'll get to manicure tomorrow. Then some saturday night.
When I'll finish up most I'll flip the lights off for 3 days and then chopchop them all.

Well, 11 weeks of flowering is enough.
All the buds will get chopped pretty soon.

I've worked on manicuring for almost 3 hours straight today.
Filled a sandwich bag cramped full of sugar leaves for hash making and another one of fan leaves for honey oil.

There's some more manicuring to do but the plants were put on straight darkness for the next 2 days and then most of them will be chopped.
The ones that still needs lots of manicuring will be chopped a day or two later.

The first number came in and its 14.55 grams for half of the right Blue Mystic.
Buds looks delicious but a bit airy.
The other big Blue Mystic have some monster cola I estimate will be about 15-20 grams dry alone.

The 8 Miles High started to yellow out so I upped the dose to 2ml\L of GHE Total Gro and don't plan on going any higher than that.
The clone was proven female so no pollen collecting but I will give grafting a shot pretty soon :D
No pictures of it yet, sorry. Was too busy with the main grow.

All plants have been harvested.
Got the previous 16" (i think) revolving fan on low setting blowing on them.
The screen have been stretched to the "walls" and secured. Most nugs are hung from the screen.

More pictures and numbers will be posted in a week or so I guess

I tried grafting a Lemon Skunk cut on the 8 Miles High and failed.
I'll wait for the LS to grow a bit more and try again.

Well, numbers are starting to form.
From the mix of torn buds I got 0.97g. (That leaves in a few minutes as samples)
Filled a full jar of Great White Shark and need to find another. I believe it would lose some weight in the next couple of days due to uneven drying but for now its 40.81 grams off of 2\3 of the plant. (The bottom right one) Had some popcorn buds that fell and dried alone weighting 0.19g.
From the White Rhino I got from a small plant and the popcorn 6.33g. They are almost all been consumed already by friends.
From the Blue Mystic in the middle right I've scored 22.5g and from the popcorn another 0.35g.
From a small Lemon Skunk (they are all small) I got 3.23g. From the popcorn Lemon Skunk I got 0.1g.
From the popcorn of the Cheese I got 0.86g and I got 2 branches waiting to be jarred right now.

The rest of the crop still needs some more drying.

So the count for now is:
Unknown - 0.97g.
Great White Shark - 41g.
White Rhino - 6.33g.
Blue Mystic - 22.85g.
Lemon Skunk - 3.33g.
Cheese - 0.86g.

So until now I've jarred 75.34 grams of weed.
Still 244.66 grams left to meet my goal :S

I'm off to jar some cheese now :D

155.86 grams for now. Some weren't COMPLETELY dry, but dry enough not to rot or anything and let the excess humidity escape while curing.

I'm on 181 point something grams total for now.

hco420, the israeli hash market is dead but I've seen some weed around. But the weed thats available is schwag :S
Its wierd because this time of the year people should harvest their second winter grow - like I'm doing, and spread it around.
