Yet another newbie first time AG grow

Btw when I say my grow tasted like shit... I mean it was good bud don’t get me wrong I got high my girl got high and it was all good it was a little to...umm how u say gaggy...not coughing but it made u gage like a mf-er...and I smoke with pro's lol...my dad has been blazing up for 30 years and it dropped him like he was 13 again. but that sound grate but the only thing is I didn’t feel any higher as if I just smoke my soil grow which has that smooth...I can hold this in till nothing comes out smoke...I’ll give a try going to get a new camera soon... my 2 year old tossed my digi. Down the vent...gone forever

yea I just pulled down the box with all my dro stuff I bought I don’t have any lights so I think I’m just going to do a 600 equivalent CFL hydro grow...no nuts yet I’m going to try something different so it will give me a taste I like I used big grow and tiger bloom my last hydro grow...I think that was the problem with my last...gatta do some homework plus I gatta read a little about ultra skunk and purple haze...so I know what trouble I can get into...look for the journal soon I’m just waiting for all my plants I have now to finish up...any people wanna lend a camera?? bongsmilie bong hit for all :blsmoke:

I was going to do the whole hydro thing but way to Many people say it tastes horrible and the other half don't know what good weed tastes like. So what if a plant can grow abnormal and finish quick. That shit is just for cash crop. I even heard Cali dispenseries don't even fuck with hydroponic plants. Not to mention it's not even natural for a plant to grow like that. Respect for the aerogardens though cause it never hurts to try.

Do you realize you just double posted and didn't leave anything informative or intelligent. We were having a nice conversation about soil and hydro, and you come in and leave unnecessary comments filled with "I heard this" and "I heard that."

(Seaweed? Kelp? You should be ashamed of yourself...)

Respect for the attempt at a meaningful post, though, cause it never hurts to try.

You can go ahead and start the nutrients now, just start with like 1/4 tab.

You definitely need to keep an eye on that pH. That can cause some problems if it keeps fluctuating.

I do and its around 80 in there. and this morning i did another PH test and it was down to 7.0 so I put 2 drops in and I alos put in 1/4 of the AG 'small' tab

Cool man, try and keep your pH as close to 5.7 as possible. This will allow all nutrients to be available at all times.

3ed...any ideas about my nuts...what are some good...easy nuts...i am a rook at hydro dont cha know :sad:...lol i read a lot about it...but i need more grows under my belt. ty in advance.

Man, the GH nutes have done good by me so far. I know several people that are using them right now. It's a easy 3 part system that you can just follow a feeding schedule and fine tune it to your strain.

You can either use the GH websites feeding schedule or you can check out www.progressive-growth.com

Either one should do fine. I don't really know anything about the other nutrients because I've been focusing on tailoring these right now.

I had to get rid of 2 of the others, because they roots didn't make it to the water, and another one had roots in the water, but the plant never made it to the top.

The left one and the one in the front are doing very well. The one to the back right is having problems getting the roots to the water. It poked out the side of the sponge instead of going strait down to the water.

Also, I am having problems keeping the PH down, it is still around 6.0, but it wont go any further down. I started by putting 1 drop of PH down, then 2, then 5, then a strong steady stream of PH down into the water. But still it remains around 6.0, any suggestions?

I wouldn't worry too much about the roots, they'll make it down there soon enough.

How far down does your pH tester go?
 
Ok this PH is driving me crazy, today the PH was below 3.0!! Ah crap, I guess a steady stream of PH down into the res was a bit much haha. So I think 2 drops of PH up did it!

Besides the PH problem, the plants are growing very very fast! This sunday will be the 2 week mark.

Should I now switch to 18/6? Do I up the nuts? How often should I put nuts in? So far, every time I changed the water I put in 1/4 tab. Is that ok?

Yea man jus keep an eye on that pH.18/6 should be good, how many extra CFL's you got in there? How often are you putting water in there, just depends on how much they drink. I think your good with 1/4, just bump it up to half a small tab, then in a week go to half a tab and 1/4 of the other half, then eventually to a whole tab and so forth. I fed mine the tabs everytime i had to topp off the rez, then at the end of the week, give them a water change
