I'll have to look into those other strains and see whether or not I can find them or order them in Canada...With proper training techniques you can grow any plant in any space, I'm not sure where you are researching, but if you were told you are gonna get more yield per year on an auto strain I'd look to a different place, just not sure how that's gonna happen, autos were designed to be ran outside in cold weather climates, people run them indoors mostly do to space constraints, and some(like me) run them with photo period plants during the veg state, when the autos finish I flip to 12/12 on the rest of the tent, as far as yield there is heavyweight vast and fast 1&2, barneys critical rapido, think different, 60day wonder etc.etc. most seed vendors have search features that allow you to filter based on yield projections, but keep in mind these are only projections, all the research in the world can't beat actual experience, think of it this way, you could spend thousands of hours reading about how to ride a bike, but until you get on and start pedaling it's only research, not saying don't do it, just saying that yield figures from vendors are based on what experienced growers who have seen deficiencies and accesses, and pests and petulance, and know what to do immediately when they pop up, and how to avoid them get, they also use grow areas that they know well and have spent years dialing in, getting your setup just right takes time and tweaking. And it all starts with planting that first seed and waiting and reacting, don't worry about the end till you get to the beginning
The way I figure, if I am harvesting every 3 to 4 months with autoflowers, vs harvesting once every 5 to 6 months with different training techniques using photos than I am obviously going to get more out of the autoflowers, given the space I have at my disposal, let alone that I would be harvesting more regularly as WELL as getting more experience. Makes sense.
