I completely agree, but there is also nothing wrong with giving your kids all the things you didn't have. It's one of my main goals in life. I try not to spoil them, but sometimes I just can't help it. Especially when it come to my youngest, I give him everything he wants and then some. Most times, how big I'm smiling is based on how big they are smiling.

We did too, but I was always scared I was going to roll over on them! So you should have seen how I learned to sleep without moving and only taking up a very small portion of the edge of the bed. All while the baby had the whole damn bed spread out on lol
Lol. I still sleep like that.
Mom was in the middle, baby on the side with a dresser pushed up to the bed so baby couldn't fall off bed. Worked pretty dam good.

No there sure isn't man my business took off when my kid was about 3 years old and my wife got her masters and started her career a year later. My kid was so spoiled from that point on but learned that not everyone has it like that and learned to appreciate the value of money I'm far from rich and she knows this and works hard to get what she has ( her job was always school raise em smart lol).

I was too! Right until the night I did. My son howled the roof down. He was about 4 weeks old at that point I never worried again.

We slept with the baby in bed. Probably frowned upon these days but what ever. Sure made things easier for mom and myself. Baby needs some tit, baby gets some tit.
I did it myself. They say its dangerous and a baby supposedly died from it here a number of years back. The eventually called it SIDS but I imagine the father will feel guilt the rest of his life over it.

I have pics of the kids sleeping on my chest when they were babies.

Every one of our kids we started adding cereal to their bottles by a few months old. They sleep through the night like that. Every one of them on soft table foods by 6 months old.

I was at a buddies house and his dad started giving the baby mashed potatoes and mashed green beans off his plate. My buddy started to complain to his dad about it. His dad told him to shut up. He fed him that way and it wouldn't hurt his baby.

You can if you use the cereal as soon as possible.

My wife and I would alternate feedings. She didn't produce enough breast milk, she pumped and fed what she could. Figure they eat every three hours or so. I would take one then the wife. That way we could get at least six hours of uninterrupted sleep. Of course the first few days I did everything so she could heal.

Don't look at her insides laying out everywhere if they do. It is an unusual site. I have a strong stomach and it made me a little weak in the knees.
It's weird. I can watch videos of beheadings while eating a burrito.

But since it was my WIFE I thought I was gonna vomit/black out!

Holy fuck you guys. Never expected all this love/support/advice and it is so damn cool! Mrs zmuda read this thread and laughed so hard she was in tears at some of the comments.

She was touched also that all you guys wished her well.

I'm out doing errands. When I get back to the hospital pics are coming.

Love you fuckers. ;)

Blood and stuff doesn't bother me. I remember as a kid dad was required to stop at accidents because he was a first responder. I actually remember handing him stuff out of his trauma bag while blood and guts everywhere.

I hit a nail in a log one time with a chain saw. It jumped out and hit me in the head. I'm glad it was my new saw. My old Stihl doesn't have a brake on it. I quit using it and wont sell it because I don't want someone to kill themselves with it. Blood was pouring out and my shirt was soaked. Everyone was freaking out. I walked inside calmly and got a towel to put on my head and asked for a ride to the hospital.

My first kid they asked if I wanted to see her right after pulling her out. I said yes and the nurse said not to look at my wife because she was still open. I looked. It almost got me. Just something about it being your wife really bothers you.

Gave birth to my last (8lb 9 oz), little girl at 4:17 am, at home, packed the hubby's lunch at 6 am, sent him off to work and did 3 loads of laundry that day, millenials, :P

This is just the beginning Bob. Lots of great memories ahead. You'll also eventually get to witness your kid become a grammar/spelling nazi. "Put your shoes on we're leaving!" "Those aren't my shoes, those are my boots. Stupid daddy!" Well shit, ya got me there. Your wife being Filipino will also give you the rare insight, also shared by myself, of what it feels like to be called Stupid in 2 different languages!

It's only a blink of the eye before they discover boys and you suddenly become interested in pig farming.
