You Outdoor People

Ok so i'm going to go fishing a few times this summer. I have a decently sized boat at my disposal for the season. The problem is...im not so much what you'd call a "nature girl." I'm not ridiculous about it...you know....i'm not all "Gosh I sure don't wanna break a nail..." (with my luck if I broke anything it'd be a damn femur bone or something anyway...) but i'm just not the outdoorsy type. So...besides a fishing license and a pole...what do I need to bring? Give me all your serious fishing advice. Not the don't-be-a-retard-and-fall-out-of-the-boat advice. I know not to do that. I also know I will do that. So. Hit me with your outdoorsy people advice.

you can always try live bait like minnows and or worms.. minnows are good for fish like large mouth bass, worms are good for things like cat fish / sunnies, w/e else that might bite them..
i usually do better with live bait, but i always feel like i'm cheating, so i use artificials.. they make fake worms as well that lots of people have good luck with.. i like plastic crack baits theyre called, they look pretty much like fake lil fishies..
ummm, get a map of w/e you're going to fish and look for points, or ledges, fish are attracted to any form of structure in the water, whether it's a sunken log, a rocky edge, ledges where shallow water drops off into deep water, so on and so on..

Bait, knife, pliers(long needle nose are best), hooks, sinkers, i would check out where youre going beforehand and see what theyre catching and what theyre catching it with, also hand wipes.

oh yeah, i forgot pliers, excellent tip in case you do catch something, they're make removing the hooks way easier, especially if they take them deep..

I caught an octopus the last time i was out, it was a pain in the ass to get that hook out, even with pliers.

we have a lot of chain pickerel around where i am, and if i'm using treble hooks, which most crank baits have, it can be a real pita to get all of the hooks out of them, even with pliers some times.. some times, if i know there's going to be a lot of pickerel, i'll just cut one of the treble's off so there's only two per, makes life much easier.. :D

OK. Bait for catching fiiish...got it. Hooks for bait. Sinkers for hooks I assume? Yes? Keep it down in the water? Pliers were explained...what do I do with the knife?

you gut the fish,cut line,saw off your left leg when it gets trapped under a log that was in the water...or,look like rambo,wich is way cooler to the fish...
