we can not say whether it was assault of self defense.
but we can say that the aggressor was a mentally unstable, drug addled, meth taking, cop wannabe vigilante with a history of assault, terrible temper problems, and getting way too involved.
and we can also say that the target he stalked that night had zero history of violence and fled from him on multiple occasions.
given those established facts, i would say it's more likely that zimmerman attacked martin and martin defended himself.
