I get it, you don't understand english.

I imagine you're the type of person who thinks that because all crows are black, all black birds are crows.

Quite trying to twist things to suit your agenda. He did not ever state that only one person has ever been so incarcerated, or similar. You said that.

Let me put it in a different context so that maybe you might understand.

"Only one person i know of owns an iphone 5"

This statement in no way states that only one person owns an iphone 5, yet that is essentially your argument.

God damn, i never took english beyond my GCSE exams yet i can understand how retarded it is to twist words to try and create a statement that never existed.
"Only one person I know of," implies the poster has knowledge of the subject and it happens rarely. Maybe if you studied marketing and psychology you'd understand his words are meant to belittle using a technique called Appeal To Authority.

Even if you took it to mean that his statement is still accurate. They sell seed to 250,000 farmers a year and there have only been 145 suits in 16 years. That's 250,000 sales each year with an average of 9.1 law suits.

Maybe you should read the articles you post first. This is about farmers suing Monsanto. It has nothing to do with Monsanto enforcing anything.
The article is about Monsanto spreading it's sh*tty GMO products all over the place.............trying to take over the wheat market......

The reason there are so few official "lawsuits" is because most cases are settled out of court. Small farmers cannot afford to fight Monsanto and they know it....most get plowed under.....

His statement was meant to negate the previous one - that farmers were being plowed under. Now why did he say what he said in direct repsonse to that if he didn't mean that "few" or "one" farmer was being sued? an answer please? what exactly did he mean by that statement - in that particular context?

There is at least one case in Canada where a farmer was sued for cross pollination and or seeds off a truck. The farmer lost.

I am painting my house purple, in a high wind. My next door neighbor has a pure white house. Speckles of my purple paint have dotted his exterior. Now, can I sue my neighbor for using MY paint?

that is essentialy what Monsanto is doing. they are ruining the neighbor's house and charging him for using their paint to do it.

You obviously didn't bother to read the case you're talking about. The crop in question was 95-98% Monsanto product, from hundreds of acres of land. The initial seeds may have fallen off a truck somewhere on the farmer's land, but to obtain that level of genetic purity, the farmer must have acted intentionally. That's what every Canadian court that heard the case concluded. He realized there was Monsanto product growing on his land and he harvested and replanted the seeds, knowing exactly what it was.

If the farmer had merely harvested the crop growing on his land there would be no issue.

I just wish to see GMO's listed on product labels and Monsanto has fought labeling tooth & nail.......Why?........

Which article? And regardless, that would still be a tiny number of suits, considering the number of sales.
The reason there are so few official "lawsuits" is because most cases are settled out of court. Small farmers cannot afford to fight Monsanto and they know it....most get plowed under before they ever see a court room.....

Have some evidence of that?

Yeah, a lot of those farmers your talking about that use Monsanto seeds, don't really want them, but it was cheaper to switch than fight. To fight the megalith Monsanto with all their resources is ludicrous......

So by "Yeah" you actually mean "No, I have no evidence supporting the claim I just made." Thanks.

As for your second assertion: bullshit. If they didn't want to use the seeds they wouldn't use them. They use the seeds because--even paying Monsanto--they make way more money from the crop than they would make using conventional seeds. Monsanto's power is derived from the fact that it owns a product people want.
