Idk, ive yet to see someone get any color on a pie crust. Pale white is not the color that makes me want to eat pie.Looks perfect beef (again!!!!)![]()
I use egg wash or milk, and sprinkle the top with sanding sugar for some texture on apple pies. I guess i gotta throw down on the pie off. I cant believe there hasnt been an iron chef off, or a black box off. Taste wouldnt work but you could win on presentation.When in need of a bit of color - I'll brush the crust with a light swipe of warmed butter & sprinkle with sugar & cinnamon.
