and that's whether it's ivy league or "just" community collegei'm not interested in stats from your time at devryU. i know from my wife's progress through grad school that C's do not get degrees, they send you home without one.
i can read blurPeople hear what they want, that will never change.
The information is free of charge. Unlike access to a lot of what the "law society" enjoys.
Not mine of course.....but a fine example of "mystical accounting":
Face it, the jig is up.

Rampant grade inflation? The curve is the curve, in most places. If not, I would have never gotten my solid C+.3.8s are way, way more common than they used to be because of rampant grade inflation.
I think fully state funded higher education is a better way to do it.I understand your point, I really do. I AM working my way through school, and it's tough. Our legislators, who were elected by the people, decided it was worth enacting this credit to invest in college students. Once I'm done with school I'll be in a position to pay taxes for the rest of my life, which will partly fund the same programs that are currently helping me. I will pay back the help that my fellow citizens have given me through their tax dollars, and then some.
I'm a little confused, brother. This sounds a little too similar. If everyone gets the same opportunity, then isn't still redistribution? Forgive my poor grammar. Wake-n-bake-n-bourbon.Everyone gets the same opportunity from birth and no one can be called a moocher for it.
I also disagree with ANYONE receiving funds that they havnt contributed in the form of negative taxation, it's redistribution from those who actually work, plain and simple.
It's a different system if people from all classes can avail of a free, state funded higher education.I'm a little confused, brother. This sounds a little too similar. If everyone gets the same opportunity, then isn't still redistribution? Forgive my poor grammar. Wake-n-bake-n-bourbon.
Doh. I completely over looked your first sentence, which put into context makes much more sense. Many apologies. It's a different system if people from all classes can avail of a free, state funded higher education.
But if you take money from the middle/upper class to find some people's education in a private system and not others, it's a blatant and unequal redistribution of wealth.
Here anyone can go to any third level institution they want, regardless of how much money they make.
Equal opportunities for all benefits all, selective opportunities only benefits some while robbing from the pockets of the ineligible classes.
Actually you're the one not following. "Your" is not referring to Buck but anyone in a graduate program--their work, their grades. I purposely didn't mention his wife because I didn't want it to sound like I was saying something offensive about her when it was a general statement applicable to lots of people.I harass buck a lot.....but you really failed to follow the convo here.
He is not pursuing a degree to my knowledge....he was speaking of his wife.
Do you prep your tokes with raw aluminium?
Community colleges in Florida are allowed to offer four year programs now, so perhaps I should rephrase that: do you attend a state university?i attend a 4 year college.
Why is it that even when you are trying to be polite you still sound like a total dick?Community colleges in Florida are allowed to offer four year programs now, so perhaps I should rephrase that: do you attend a state university?
I already posted a link. I'll post it again: http://www.gradeinflation.com/figure2.gif.Rampant grade inflation? The curve is the curve, in most places. If not, I would have never gotten my solid C+.
I just looked and I don't see that. Can you, and all, and always provides links for claims?
I wonder where you got that?

To be clear, I'm not calling accounting in general mystical. Twostroke and his crackpot tax protestor friends have imagined a fictional accounting system for Federal Reserve Notes and "lawful money" that doesn't actually exist.Nothing mystical about accounting, it is merely arcane.
And, the reality is, all these "tricks" are just shuffles. They are temporary and will come back around to you. That is unless you are powerful and spend giant amounts of Lobby $$, like GE does.
Case in point that many will see, is depreciation on rental property. Sure you can select 200% double declining balance for depreciation, but you will give that back later, as a reduction of capital gains.

it sure is..1% gets to utilize loopholes instead of paying the taxes they should be paying.I'm a little confused, brother. This sounds a little too similar. If everyone gets the same opportunity, then isn't still redistribution? Forgive my poor grammar. Wake-n-bake-n-bourbon.
