Correct, as I stated, it is not a legal requirement to become president. that's why I posted it, to make that correction,1. while not a requirement to disclose taxes, historically, candidates do as to "be an open book with nothing to hide"..with romneys resistance he drew more attention to himself than he would of had he just done what is done historically.
I wasn't a Romney supporter so I'll get that out of the way.
If you want honesty, the reason Romney's taxes became an issue, was because of the press.
Go back a few elections and you will find no major stories about John Kerry and the wealth he amassed, it wasn't an issue to the press.
I voted for Obama the first time around, and you are right, it shouldn't have been an issue, it was something the right could use to drive a wedge between him and the voters, just like Romney's wealth.2.president obama has produced his birth certificate..why would this still be an issue?
