I sent a follow-up email to HC to check on my application process....this is got sent back:

For disposal, you really do not want to incinerate on site. Sure, HC will accept it as a method, but to run an incinerator you'll need to apply through your provincial environment ministry for an incineration permit... this is just extra red tape to run through which can take as long to get approval as getting your MMPR!

Thank you for your interest in becoming a licensed producer under the Marihuana for Medical Purposes Regulations (MMPR).
If you are requesting an update on the status of your application to become a Licensed Producer, please note that you will receive a letter from Health Canada if and when any additional information is required to continue processing your application. Thank you for your cooperation.
There are five steps to the process once your application has been received:
- Screening: the application is verified to make sure all relevant information has been provided, and required documents attached. If information is missing, the application may be returned to you.
- Reviewing: the application will be reviewed to validate the information and documents provided. Security clearance forms will be sent for processing. Physical security plans will be reviewed and assessed.
- Ready to build: Once the application is deemed satisfactory, Health Canada will issue a notice informing the applicant that, if built to the specifications on the proposed plan, the security measures would meet the requirements of the MMPR. Applicants must then build the security measures if this is not already done.
- Pre-licence inspection: Upon confirmation from the applicant that the security measures are in place, a pre-licence application will be scheduled. Upon completion of the inspection, the applicant must address any deficiencies identified.
- Issuance: Once the inspection is deemed satisfactory and that personnel security clearances have been obtained, then the licence will be issued.

Well HC have changed their mind about burning again. I got this back last week.
As previously stated, under the MMPR, you will not be allowed to destroy marihuana by burning as this would result in people being exposed to marihuana smoke. The marihuana and/or cannabis material is considered destroyed when it is altered or denatured to such an extent that its consumption is rendered impossible or improbable. The method of destruction is up to the licensed producer. One way is to blend the marihuana with water and then mix it with cat litter to mask the odour. This can then be placed in the garbage. It is recommended that you speak with your local government regarding disposal options that may be available in your area.

Thank them, they said burning was OK, sorry we changed our minds, it's not OK, well than which is it? But if they want me to fire it off into space than that's what I'll do but thank them, seriously!
It is just easier to do what they ask, so when the shit hits the fan your not in front of it. Cat litter it is, now which brand meets regulations, so many choices.....
