all institutions share some degree of conservatism by necessity. the media is an institution like any other.

that's why unlike us, they do not get to mock and laugh at creationists. they have to simply report on such views just because a lot of idiots believe in them.

I understand that, but I think with the monopolizing of media over the years, I think it was something like 70 different outlets in the 50s-70s compared to 6 today, it presents an entirely new, much more powerful way to sway public opinion. So instead of trying to change 70 different minds, now all you have to do is financially sway 6. Pressure comes from the top and the dominoes fall in line or face termination

I'm sure the US can bomb media station or whatever if need be but it's not our policy.

The point is, if you want to control people, you need to take over the media.
They believe what they see and hear on the TV or radio just like anyone else.

Exactly, you can't control public opinion without controlling the media, and you can't get a 90% approval rating without controlling public opinion..
 
If you were high and mighty like GodHere, you would know the truth of all the minds of all the world leaders.

and if you only listen to MSNBC, CNN, CBS, ABC, the new york times, the LA times, the chicago tribune, etc etc etc, you get lefty spin and lefty talking points without a whisper of objectivity, yet the Columbia Journalism Review article (which youdidnt bother to read) clearly stated that lefties on fox are NOT sacked for opinions counter to the editorial board's views, while on the left media, sacking dissenters is common as dogshit.

Protip: the Columbia Journalism Review is NOT a right leaning publication. it leans left, just not as transparently as most of the lefty "journalists" who are in fact simply mouthpieces for the democrat party line.
