We may as well continue our discussion in private. That way the entire community can see our method and benefit. But wait, private messages can't be seen by others, which is why this discussion would ideally be located in the public part of the forum!

But if we try to discuss anything in public, then the thread gets run down by the same people.

Rollitup isn't what it used to be...

I give up Chuck, you're not able to hold an adult conversation so I'm going back to ignoring you again. You insult me, and at the same time ask me to give you a lesson in defoliating cannabis.

Bye Chuck, keep on WINNING!!

Debate in a public forum often ends in frustration and ad hominem attacks...

Chuck I can see you're frustrated but why don't you just shut your mouth and allow a discussion that you don't agree with to take place?

I mean shit, are you saying that you don't have the self control to see something that you don't agree with happening on the internet and just let it be?

I'm just a noob and I came here to learn but there is only fights.. so..
I'm gonna state what my intuition tells me about defoliation by observation only..
As a young plant, be defoliated doesn't seem to decrease growth a lot, actually it seems to increase, since the plant exchange the energy to new 'nodes'.. so after 1 or 2 days stunted, it comes back vigorously and 'bushier'.. You dont want to cut down all your leaves, though.. '-'
However, in flower, as an adult plant which spend all its energy to produce buds, I don't see why cut the source of energy or 'factory' of sugars which it has build all its life...

If this were true, then in neo's study, his defoliated plant would be shorter and bushier than the non raped one. YET, the red one is taller than the blue. DO you know why?

if defoliation is suppose to make a smaller denser more compact plant, How come red is taller than blue???

That is a great question chuck. It really is. Maybe if we were able to have proper discourse and throw in some scientific method into the mix we could figure that out, instead of having 7/10 posts per page being attacks on certain users...

I'd like to know the answer to the question just as much as you would

I know the answer, i have been asking NEO to answer it for like 10 pages. The answer was posted a few pages back.

I didn't realise when I joined this forum a few months ago that the subject of defoliation was informally banned, and that this practice of deliberately destroying threads by flinging personal abuse was allowed.

If you ignore Chuck's noise for a moment you will hear the deafening silence of the defolihaters, who have gone very quiet since the introduction of pictures showing evidence of increased growth after defoliation.

I've just offered evidence which flies in the face of what the textbooks say should happen, but we're not even allowed to talk about it.

Don't worry. The majority of these newbies will defoliate their plants anyway by dumping too much fertilizer on them. And as for Chuck, he can't try anything because he doesn't have a mj plant to try it with. One seed can grow an untold amount of weed.

That's funny coming from the guy who treats his MJ plants like roses being sold on the corner. Do you sell oranges too?
