I normally take 25 to the Santa Fe Relief Route, follow that to Espanola, up to Taos along the canyon, then through the land grants and into Colorado. I like that route you have there. Hiting 84 instead of over to Taos. And, I have a shitty car, it's perfect for shitty roads. (I used to live about 20 miles south of Taos.)25 to the 84 to the 160 to the 25n would take you 8 hours to get to Colorado Springs! I could shave an hour off through Jicarilla Apache side roads, but they are pretty shitty roads..
