Byron Smith execution of burglars

LOL the police have no duty to protect you. Call 911 and let them know that you just know for certain you are going to be robbed, they will ask if you are currently being robbed, you will tell them no and they will just tell you that 911 is for emergencies only and not to tie up their precious times with your paranoid delusions. Police have NO DUTY TO PROTECT YOU, as confirmed by the US Supreme court.
The police will sit in their cars from a safe distance eating donuts during a riot. Why do you think the military gets involved? Police only come after the fact, as a deterrent and embarrass how stupid you were to become a victim. If you want to stay safe, take matters into your own hands and not rely on police.

Well yeah, confronting healthy teenaged athletes who are well known thieves and expert break in artists need to be kept a t a distance, that kind of element can be dangerous.

Police work isn't even in the top 20 most dangerous jobs in the USA.

The guy is a fucking psychopath that was looking for a way to kill someone.
Lethal force wasn't justified.

Exactly. I once called the cops on my neighbor for beating the shit out of his wife, when living in a dangerous town. The police dispatch could hear the beating on the phone. No one came.

Another time I called 911 on a two lane highway. The guy in front of me was drunk as can be. I kept driving behind him for about an hour from a very safe distance.

Police work is awesome if you don't want to work, almost as easy as being Buck.

You wouldn't say that if you found out these kids came and killed your family, and the last guy didn't use lethal force. Scratch that, you probably still would. Never mind.

IMO. it doesn't matter if he left all of his windows and doors open, with a sign out front saying "Nobody's home".

If it's not your house...stay the fuck out!

But to lure them in purely to kill them?

I dunno man, Id be a defender of castle doctrine...but where do we draw the line?

He was hardly in fear of his life...but it was his house...I dunno, the grey area is very grey.

Did he invite them over for a party? Did he send them an invitation to rob his house? If he invited them in, I would agree with him going to prison. If he just made it look like he was an easy mark and not home...oh well, back to our regularly scheduled programming.

Colorado's stance of their Castle Doctrine is very clear. Go into someones house without permission, expect to be shot.

Colorado's Castle Doctrine also extends to your car. Loaded guns (not concealed, but in plain sight) are totally legal in your car in CO. Not many carjackings in CO. There are many, many carjackings in Minnesota. Of course, a loaded gun in your car in MN will send you straight to prison.

Is it possible to turn a robber into a victim for something fun?
Robbing a person does not rise to the same level as killing them. However when you invade some homes, getting shot and killed can be an occupational hazard and solicits little sympathy. I don't think I'd kill a person that I had incapacitated as robbery does not rise to the level of an automatic death sentence.

Some states have laws that detail this, fur

And if women had dicks they'd be men.

There was no threat.

They were good kids. Got it.
Nice strawman, but I'd expect nothing less from an angry vegan mad at his flavourless world.

I didn't say they were 'good kids', they obviously made a mistake and broke the law.
Would it be ok to sentence them to death for a BE? Because that's essentially what this guy did. He became enforcement, judge, jury and executioner.

If I have enough time to move my truck out of view, and setup a vantage point, I have enough time to call the cops and completely avoid two senseless murders.

There's a big difference between knowing two kids are going to break in to your home ( (probably because he specifically made himself appear to be away), and having an unknown person invade your home without notice.

The actions you should take in each scenario are drastically different.
