when i fractured my ankle in 2011 i went through my file while waiting to see the doctor, the WC company (Travelers) sends the doctor instructions/reminder about being a " WC doctor in good standing" by limiting my treatment to 8 visits.

the "good standing" means they will send you more WC patients..in fact, they used to call the doctors office on the DAY i was to be examined, BEFORE the exam, wanted doctors notes..were told time and again that they won't falsify doctors notes.."is she better? can we discontinue treatment" because of them, i went for 7 weeks without MRI until my attorney put his foot down and insisted..they found i have more damage that was originally detected with regular x-ray..the doctor freaked when he saw and grabbed my ankle and slammed it on the table. the pain was excruciating, i left in tears and would not return. they had to give me another doctor.

that, my friend is the issue..ergo we must start with those who represent us.

and you know it's not hard to call or email your representatives or show up at a town hall when they're not in washington.

it's amazing how many contacts/friends you make with those who think as you do.

EDIT: i challenge everyone here to go to their next town hall..you don't have to stay the entire evening..and report back what transpired plus you get some inside scoop on what's going on in washington..

Yeah I would get calls from HR or company nurses telling me we need so and so back to work by Monday. Followed by thinly veiled threats to stop sending me WC.

I would let them know that I would be obligated during the deposition to mention this conversation.

The two biggest employers in town starting sending to other places . It's shady no doubt.

My issue with corruption though is we can avoid companies corruption and face inconvenience. We can't avoid government corruption. Giving them even more power just seems counter intuitive.
