Onyx Grow Bloom vs Area 51 RW-150 Gorilla Glue #4 Grow

Day 21,more stretch from the RW-150 than the Onyx but that's the only real noticeable difference.

Day 28 update,added 6 hours of T5 HO UV to each.I've been fighting some deficiencies and may have a soil problem so I sent a soil sample off to the lab for analysis,hope to get the results late next week. No major differences but the RW plant is stretched a little more and the flowers now appear to be slightly larger than the Onyx. I can't say it's the light making the difference because the RW plant has been larger from the start of flower,the RW plant has a 3/4" stem and the onyx plants stem is under 5/8". Not to impressive yet,but the GG#4 is suppose to put on most of her bulk in the last 3 weeks.

is that the same trellis net that they sell at every hydro shop and some home depots. I think I'm doing scrog next round. and some main liners too. I just remember that trellis ripping apart easily. its the cheapest way to go.

great trichome development. Defs don't seem to bad. easily manageable probably. they look really good either way

Home depot PVC pipe and fittings,I drill holes 4" OC and string it with heavy duty nylon mason string. I've got 50 gallons of this soil so I'm hoping the lab can help me adjust it to stop the defs,sent it to the Michigan State University soil lab.

i was thinking of using hemp. the home depot up here sells spools of hemp string pretty cheap, They have nylon too.

did you cook the soil long enough? Maybe the phenos you have might be nute hogs. one of my plushberries is a calcium hog. i still have cal defs. theres plenty of cal. plus with compost teas they get more cal from the kelp.. still not enough..


you know organics pretty well. some vermicompost and teas can fix any soil pretty much.. unless its full of toxins and heavy metals. then you would need to grow some flowers and what not in that soil to suck up everything.
 
Soil has been in a barrel since last year,so it's cooked. Made some changes to my recipe and it may be a PH issue,held the defs at bay with teas,sprays and amendments but it's still not right,looks like a possible nitrogen def too after top dressing with EWC twice.
 
try some clover or other legume companion crops. They fixate nitrogen pretty quickly plus all the other benefits. Imo when using companion crops you don't really need that much nutes. At least that's what I've seen from my outdoor. I never give them nutes except what they get from companion crops, compost teas and sst's.
 
Well it's been a battle and no one to blame but myself for doing this with a new soil recipe and new strain so I've decided to run another side by side after this finishes with a proven soil and strain that I know. First problem I noticed was the clones different growth rates in the same conditions,it's carried over to the clones I've taken off both plants. One roots faster and quickly out grows the other so I'm considering killing off the less vigorous plants clones. I've been battling deficiencies and or lock outs and it's really effected the plants potential but I should still get some nice smoke but I think the yield will be well below what it should be. Here's a few pics at day 40.

Sprayed them with this product. How many times would you recommend with this stuff?

Looking at your soil test it shows above optimum on all macro levels.............adding more micro's will not help your situation IMO, just compound it.

Other than transplanting out of your current LOS medium(not possible obviously), I would just keep adding some beni bacs / water till the end and hope that your SFW will balance out. Your yields shouldn't be that heavily affected.
