Hope ya got a good pheno. Big yields of semi potent bud. Nothing to rave about. No pineapple scent whatsoever. It's that super skunk they use, weak sauce

I disagree with MistaRasta. It's a trainwreck cross and maybe it is nothing to rave about but it is good value for money and very reliable.
You will find plenty of happy grow reports on riu and elsewhere. 2 or 3 different phenos, mainly a compact bushy one and a stretchy one. both are a good smoke, dense buds and pretty idiot proof to grow. Have only seen them in soil but there's a guy here on riu who said he yielded 11(?)oz from 1 plant in hydro.

It's not that good. There are a lot better lines for the money in my experience. Smells nothing like Pineapples. In fact mine were so repulsive smelling I couldn't smoke them. Nice bag appeal (visual). Good yields. Frosty. If there is a pineapple pheno maybe it's good, but the phenos I got I was quite disappointed with. I won't say there's no potential but there are are a lot better lines out there. If I wanted pineapple I think I'd go C99 or Dynasty's Pineapple (Diesel or Fields) lineup.

Thanks every one for the input. Wanted to give it a try !! I've had some really good pineapple before and figured I give it a shot. I'm really surprised with there growth rate end off week 2 and they are def way ahead of my last two grows. Only difference is I switched nuets was using technaflora. Now I went with cyco nuets. These pics are the end of week 1 and as of today the end of week 2. Hopefully it will be worth the smoke.

I guess We're talking two different terms here. I bought 5 fems and none of them were consistent. All sucked and were simply a waste of time. I'm on the quality side of things seeing as I don't rely on yield or see it as a staple by any means. Dot get me wrong a nice yield is well, nice
And I swear g13 uses a super skunk male on their fruity strains. I've ran their super skunk, "c99", and Pineapple Express. All mids of course, but definitely all had similar traits, obscure smell, weak buzz, big yield, mediocre all around. I don't like g13 so far but that's just my opinion
You shouldn't buy hype strains, never come out to my expectations tbh. It's generally the more modest ones (advertising-wise) that catch my eye in my op.

It is kinda shocking for me that so many probably more experienced growers express such negative opinions about pinex. All our plants, apart from the odd one performed really well and i've seen plenty of reports where some people said things like "the real deal".
What strains would you recommend instead if my aim is to have a reliable fem plant, idiot proof to grow quick(ish) flowering?

Sorry, my fault. I was never after the pineapple taste or smell, to me pineapple express is just a name. We still have some Apollo11 genius cut from Bodhi, which had a great pineapple smell and turned out to be one of my favorite smokes especially for daytime.
I'm probably after something with a bit more punch, a good "bog standard".

I love G13 pineapple, it will always have a spot in my garden. I haven't had one that smells or tastes like pineapple but all have been stoney as all hell. Stinks something wonderful while growing but that doesn't seen to transfer over to the final product. I grow mine out till about 20% amber and is great for me.
Now, every pineapple express I have tried that I didn't grow was complete bullshit. Im not saying I grow super dank, I'm saying everything I bought from the dispensary's called "Pineapple Express" was crap and should be called that instead.

Im running a C99 from G13Labs. It definitly resembles all the Cinderella's ive ran in the past from Joey Weed BUT i didnt clone it cause i got zero faith in it being a keeper worthy plant, hope im not wrong. I wouldnt buy a G13labs pack of seeds. Ive tried to email them and there unreachable, i absolutly hate when i cant talk to the breeder about the genetics, turns me off instantly like they got something to hide.
I have heard good things about there PE though. Bog standard? Thats a joke right, Bogs genetics arent potent unless you get that one Sour Bubble pheno then its still 1 dimentional stoney medicated buzz. Ive only ran about 6+ strains from Bog though since he came on site hes on in 04...

LOL guys that's too funny. I didn't know that there's a breeder called bog. Bog standard in britain means something like a good standard. The diy shop paint which can be as good as the higher priced branded paint. The supermarket brand wine, something for every day etc. So bog standard weed for me is something you can have all the time without having a reason to complain about but nothing special.

Bogs genetics in general are short slow veg plants that always come out sweet with a indica high, many of his crosses hermi easy because of the original bubblegum he used. There is some good Sour Bubbles and hits here and there but overall his appeal isnt potency more for taste in my opinion from running his strains.
